This is _not_ an Anno-driven show, so people really shouldn't expect the next Evangelion. The main driving force is the director (Kazuya Tsurumaki) who directed *FLCL* & *Diebuster* so expect GQX to be more like them instead of Evangelion. And it has the writer of *Star Driver* (Yoji Enokido) while I'm sure Anno is just helping as a co-writer, not the "captain of the boat", so to speak.
But he's working on the script, storyboard, and design while under his production company, so the finger-print will definitely be there. Even Shin Godzilla and Gunbuster weren't "Evangelion". He's quite a diverse story teller.
@GundamExplained You need to watch the Gundam conference video featuring the interview with studio Khara producer, Yuki Sugitani. There, he confirmed that Kazuya Tsurumaki is the one that's running the show. Also, I'm not saying Anno's fingerprint won't be there. I'm just saying people should not expect Evangelion out of GQX coz this one is not lead by Anno.
@@GundamExplained Just some extra info follow the previous comment, in the conference Bandai/Sunrise & Producer Sugitani specifically not to bring up Anno's name and state it's a project by Director Kazuya Tsurumaki even Eva being bring up multiple time. And we only see Anno's name when they roll the list of production staff at the end of the conference.
I noticed that in none of the materical released calls the Gquuuuuuuuuuux a gundam. They explicitly refer to it as a mobile suit, while also referring to a different MS as a gundam, which i find interesting.
On the Gundam design. I think they nailed it. Let me explain. Exia, Ariel, Barbados... These were all designs that I remember when revealed most of the fanbase were like "That's not a Gundam!" But after their respective shows released as well as their model kits, they each became fan favorites. I know I currently feel like this main Gundam design may not be for me, but that's how I felt about the barbatos at first. So who knows. Looking forward to seeing the show! And I wonder if this took a Ghirens greed timeline inspiration.
I like the GQuack design a lot. It doesn't scream "Gundam" but it does look like what it's supposed to be: an underground sport fighting machine. This isn't some decisive strategic weapon developed at a top-secret government black site to turn the tide of a war, this is a custom street racing car built with hope and superglue in someone's garage. It's jank, it's slapped-together, it looks unfinished because it has no armor (doesn't need it), but it's got bright, busy colors scattered slapdash all over it because by god does it have heart and soul and just enough frame strength to carry its pilot's dreams and not fall apart from the shaking of the massive jet engines they crammed up into its legs. It's something we haven't ever seen before in Gundam. Even Gundams like Aerial and the Shining Gundam -- other Gundams built for "fighting" and not "combat" -- didn't really have that "home-grown underdog" feel to them. This one has a little puppy face on it because its pilot is part of "Team Pomeranian". It's new, it's fresh, and it's not gonna be to everyone's tastes, but it is going to be unique no matter what happens.
I was just watching the latest video on the BANDAI Spirits Official RUclips channel, which introduced a lineup of related merch. The two hosts also had trouble figuring out how to pronounce GQuuuuuX. Someone behind the camera says, "G-Kwux", which the hosts repeated several times. A minute in, the hosts just ended up saying "G-Gux", which stuck for the rest of the video..
The new design is unique but it just loses the gundam identity, like for example look at the XI gundam from hathaway's flash, its large bulky and hideousstillcmaintail maintains that baseline gundam feel, it holds a symbolic meaning being the repersentation of hathaway's bastardsized combination of amuro and char's ideology's. This new gundam bassically just looks like an eva, even that v fin does resemble anything remotely like a gundam. Idk i feel like it leans way too far into the eva design inspiration.
Can't wait to get the parts in GB4. My only downside thought at this time is: 1st - Designs are little funky but I get it, it's like the whole Hobby Hizack build your own thing, sort of like the build series stuff but with some G series in there and a dash of street fighter. 2nd - I guess we're still going to wait for Hathaway part 2, F90\91, Crossbones and Victory. Oh and of course gotta keep beating the drum for a G-Saviour remake...
does it count as anno gundam. he is just the second writer. DOnt just discredit many talented veteran staff in there, and also the director himself. the main writer itself is Enokido Youji, WHich have made a great series such as star driver too. Isnt it shameful to just call this anno gundam and always put him in the spotlight. I dont hate anno, but this is always what most anime fans do when he got involved in a project.

He's like only credited AFTER Inokido and Inokido is doing Series Composition...
It's his story.
@@wulf8889 Sorry, but I trust Khara's producer's words more than yours. Go watch the Gundam Conference video featuring Yuki Sugitani.

People are used that a name with G means Gundam
Heya!! Meet ya at Anime Frontier! Glad to meet ya!
Def gonna spend more time learning about gundam!
Heck yeah! That was so awesome to meet you. Do you live in the DFW area?
Maybe we will see insurgent Neo-Federation suits
This is the most EVA of a Gundam I've seen. I'm somewhat in the middle with the design since its not your typical gundam
Love the new gundam design
Amate Yuzuriha (Machu) : Tomoyo Kurosawa (Aikatsu! - Otome Arisugawa, Sound! Euphonium - Kumiko Oumae, BanG Dream! - Misaki Okusawa/Michelle from Hello, Happy World!)
Nyaan : Yui Ishikawa (Attack on Titan - Mikasa Ackerman, Gundam Build Fighters - China Kousaka, Violet Evergarden - Violet Evergarden, Tropical-Rouge! Precure - Minori Ichinose/Cure Papaya)
Shuji Ito : Shimba Tsuchiya (Haikyū!! - Tsutomu Goshiki, Fanfare of Adolescence - Shun Kazanami, Shinkalion : Change the World - Ryota Kuzuryu)
Close enough, welcome back G Gundam

Good points! Thanks man.
No one said that about Exia. But it doesn't look or feel like a Gundam it have all the Eva vibes. I personally think that's a bad thing
it doesnt even have Gundam in the title. so I'm really not too sure the G-Quacks is even a Gundam.
this new gundam show time line is another future after uc
It's a alternative UC like Origin and Thunderbolt
"If you wanna get some of that backside" 🤣🤣🤣
You gotta warn me when you say stuff like that, I spit out my coffee.
hahaha!

Luckily this isn't a Gundam. The concept art for the Gundam looks good though.
The main Gundam is very colourful, I'll give them that. Not really interested in the plot. After all, the anime is used to sell merchandise.
That design definitely won't sell a lot of kits, that's for sure. 😂
The new gundam is not gundam it 100% super robot
Always was
No, still a Gundam. Amuro and Char returns in fresh looking with new voice.
G-Quack is sounding less like Gundam and more like FLCL with a Gundam skin on it, so I can't really say I'm feeling it so far.
According to the site I was reading from, it's Sieg Axe.

I hope there is a laser sword ⚔️ in the new Gundam
The clan battles must be like War Thunder it that now and again the users are posting leaked top secret info. LMAO

its pronounced G-Quacks
I've seen that around, but according to documentation it's Sieg Axe.
It's G-Quacks.
I wouldn't believe that website until later with the "Meow-Nyaan" debacle..
It looks like an anorexic super robot.
You haven't watched Evangelion??????Not even the remake movies???
Nah, couldn't get into it. But you never know.
don’t watch the remakes
Ugly gundam
At least it's not Turn-A.
@Guyverman01 Turn A looks way better than this ugly thing. It's just Eva with more armor. The design is way to busy.
its not even necessarily a Gundam. it doesn't even have Gundam in the name.
@@Guyverman01turn-a is great imo.
