Pro tip, clean the outside of the pump before pulling it apart. Also, if you don’t want to use a bearing puller, put a magnet through a socket that fits on top the the retainer then push down the on the spring, the magnet will pull the retaining clips out.
Thanks so much! this really helped a ton! The amount of detail and step by step process made this the best car install video i've even seen. Keep the content coming i can't wait to get my EQT stage 2 e85 tune on my car now xD
I dealt with those little seals (or at least very similar) when helping a buddy do his valve stems on his c6 vette. Glad I'll have "some" experience going into this lol. Nice write up
Thanks a lot you really helped me, even provided the torque specs for the M10 bolts on the housing. I broke my stock retainer trying to remove it with my bearing separator. Luckily my press got it out!
Great video, I had mine done by OstarMotorsports while doing some maintenance, didn’t cost me too much, you need to do some 0-60 after the full E85, I spun all first gear and still manage to do a 3.6s on 80 degrees, while doing 3.8s with no spin on E30 on my heavier S3, I do run the stratified dsg instead of the Eqt because the lower rpms LC I keep getting more consistent results, plus I like it much better on D mode.
Hi! Great video. I am considering this upgrade since the oem one is limiting my tune to 380hp. However the 50% more wear on the camshaft is where I'm considering if I actually need more hp or not. What is your experience with the car after this upgrade? Any issues or potential worries? Thanks a lot!
Another great vid. 1 question, My MK7 R is EQT Stage 2. Will this modification require an adjustment to the custom tune to recognize its full potential? I am not running E85 fuel. Any thoughts is appreciated.
while cranking down on the center punch, does it damage the oem pump shaft? If I ever want to go back to stock, will I be able to reuse the original pump shaft?
Where were you on Friday 😩 I took it out and couldn’t get the spring to depress so I just gave up and installed back in. But with this video I’m gonna try to redo it when the tools come in and see how my luck goes 👍🏽 thanks for your great video man
@@EVERYTHINGcpo so I bought the clamps you suggested and I understand how to punch them closed with the tool but how do you loosen it if you need to clean and or repair something in the hpfp?
Hey man ik im 3 years late but I have a mk7 gti with is38 burble tune if I install the hpfp will I need another tune if I still plan on pumping 93 for the present
I don’t know what size other than “mini”. I would imagine any of the sets that have a small one would probably work. I know some of them are large and that would not work too well.
If it’s not working properly you’ll likely know pretty quick. Massive fuel cuts at wot. But the best way is look for the increase in rail pressure psi in the logs.

Thank you for this video, it helped me a lot, and I got my HPFP installed. Right on!

Details in this video was so satisfying

Thank you so much for this detailed video! I did this install today on my gti and it couldn’t have went smoother thanks to your video
Thank you! Was going to pay to have this done. But because you showed the tool kit from Amazon was so cheap. I did it myself.

Great video, thanks OP!
Thanks for the video. Helped out with my install.

Hey CPO. Thank you for the awesome tutorial. Just did one of my own amd gave you a shoutout. Keep up the awesome vids.
Beautiful work and great video! Seems like you’ve made quite a few mods, what’s your next mod? And are you thinking of selling your car anytime soon?
Great detailed video. I just got done doing mine the same way a little while ago and wish this was out then 😂
This is so nice and detailed !! Thank you !
Awesome & clean install
I've done a couple of these. Excellent video.
Bearing splitter kit lol i didn't know the name and ive been looking for it thanks for the vid
This was amazingly helpful, thank you so much!
Fantastic video, thank you!

Can I use the regular clamp, like the ones on the intake but smaller size?
What Ethanol sensor and gauge is that?

Thanks for sharing 💪🏾
So Installed this and now I'm getting a p229400 do you know what could cause that. It wasn't doing it before
Can you install the internals and run without a tune?
No. You should have a tune.
@@EVERYTHINGcpo say I was already tuned stage 2+ but wanted to upgrade the pump

Is autotech internals still the go to? I keep reading mixed reviews.
If care is taken during install I see nothing wrong with them. I have yet to have any issues with mine.
Great video 🙌

friday... I was filming this video! lol Glad you are going to try it again!

@@haku107 you need to cut them off and put on a new one. They are not re-useable. Cut the ear with a pair of side cutters.
I have a 2018 S3 currently running Stage 1 93 EQT. Can I do the same with the internals for my pump?
Yes

@@yaboidog5499 yes. You’ll need a tune to properly scale the increased fuel pressures
The bearing kit listed is unavailable, is it just a 2 inch puller? That I could order on Amazon

262 Gislason Islands
silly question, but what kind of oil did you use to lube it with?
I have no idea. Whatever was nearby. It’s only for the initial start up…
So to run full E85 on the MK7 Golf R you need an upgraded HPFP? What else would I need?
On the R, that’s it.
Hey How did you check if the HPFP is working properly?
If it’s not working properly you’ll likely know pretty quick. Massive fuel cuts at wot. But the best way is look for the increase in rail pressure psi in the logs.
ok so I did good then haha. Thanks again!
Would I have to replace the bolts for the hpfp?
Technically, yes. Most people see no impact from re-using them once.
🟩🟩🟩 God… What a fantastic useful video… I have a M7.5 R… Love ❤️ the car… Thanks for your time…
"make sure your shaft is all the way up "
Great how to! Kudus!
Well, looks like all the puller kits on Amazon have recently had a “COVID” markup of 100%! So dumb. Harbor Freight ftw once again…
Ugh
You don’t need a tune necessarily they claim 5% power increase on stock map I believe
