I've had these two days and am now three for three. Never had a more effective or easier to use trap. Awesome product!

These are by far the best traps I've ever used. I highly recommend these to anyone trying to catch gophers. I've caught 22 in a little over a month. A+++++

Me too, I tried every other trap on the market but this is the only one that really works every single time. Stopped them from wrecking my lawn for good.

The Cinch trap is the only trap out of the dozens of kinds of traps I've used that really works every time.

Now caught 33+ in 2 months. These traps are crazy good. I clean my holes out with a hose and the key is to really clean the hole out good and make sure that he isn't able to push loose dirt up. Try to really get rid of the excess dirt in the hole.

I’m very frustrated so going to try your method. All the other videos tell me I have to find the tunnels to catch them. The say that putting the trap in the plug hole doesn’t work. Well I have tried to dig and find the tunnels around the mound without success. So I’ll follow your way and clean out the plug hole and put my cinch trap in it. Thanks .

Michael Shadler try the gopher hawk take water hose flush the hole open then set the gopher hawk in at a 45° angel sure to catch these varments every time I recently bought one works every time the old traps they just kept going around them was frustrating..

I dig a hole in the run and set a trap, one in each direction, and set the trap all the way in the bottom of the hole. These traps work AWESOME!!! I have set my traps three separate times and the next morning I had a gopher two of the three mornings.

Started using cinch traps and I’m 1/2 in two days. The first one pushed dirt ahead of itself, so I covered the second hole with grass and bam, got it.

when you put any dead animal back in the hole unless its a predator the other animals that use that hole will refuse and abandon that hole until the carcass is gone

For me only works on an active open hole. For filled holes I dig out like shown above the gopher will dig around the trap and fill the hole from the outside!

Best traps I have ever bought. I have a record of ten kills. Gophers were destroying alot of beautiful lawns here. Help my neighbor catch three. Sometimes it's not a good kill, the best thing to do in drown the gopher in a bucket of water. Make sure your trap is down deep enough. Additionally, leave the mound open. Gophers like a constant temperature and opening a hole causes temperature changes. You can find these traps on Amazon.

I ordered three, but I simply can't set them, it takes too much force to flip it over and I have weakened hands due to gout. Might have to return them.

  • @larainewoodruff3739

This trap works. I have a few of them and get a gopher every time I set them. I finally decide I’m not in the killing business so I quit using them. I have a couple mounds in my lawn this summer but so far I’m just mowing over them and it’s fine. If you don’t mind setting traps day after day this is the best trap ever. Requires some strength and agility to figure out how to set it first but not too bad.

  • @carlkma2037
    @carlkma2037 Год назад

Sorry, but it is not as easy as this, maybe my gophers are smarter, I don't know. I have been trying to use this trap for a week now, and so far no luck. In general the open hole is filled with dirt and they do not set off the trap. I have tried the angle method and the dig out the hole method, both times the gopher pushes the dirt up to the trigger and stops, no springing of the trap. The traps are set as sensitive as I can make them and it still makes no difference. I intend to keep trying, but don't be surprised when the gopher refuses to follow the play-book as outlined above.

I use the (0610) Victor Easy Set Gopher Trap, I use them tethered together with about 3' of jack small chain, then find the tunnel going both ways, where as I see you just put you trap in the T'ed of part. I might try your way, looks like less work. I'm not so sure you way will work as good but it's sure worth a try. thanks.

When you put the dead gopher back in the hole after it's dead, how do you know if it's not blocking other gophers? Wouldn't you place another trap to see if there are others? Isn't it a possible concern that a dog might smell the decomposition of the gopher and dig it up, possibly getting sick - or that it might attract other more wild critters that you don't want in the area? It didn't look like the body was pushed very far into the hole.

This is my go-to trap. They’re not recommended for frail hands or noodle arm weaklings because if you don’t know what you’re doing or know where to put your hands when setting them, you’ll lose a thumbnail or break a finger.

Used this trap. Bought these units online tried everything else from the home centers. The gopher came out early morning. Not a good kill he was stuck I had to set another one around his neck. He really was destroying my lawn and garden and also causing neighbors the same trouble. The kill was gruesome!

This video does not cover what to do when the gopher doesn't die straight away. I caught one around the shoulders so it continued to breath. It screeched and struggled mightily until I found something to dispatch it with. Most unpleasant. Macabee traps are more bother, but kill quickly.

If you use any kind of poison in the ground near fruit trees or vegetable gardens, you might contaminate the edibles. The idea with trapping is that no poison is used at all.
Putting a cleanly killed animal back in the soil is actually best for the environment.

Wow there are some really nasty people on here! The whole point is HUMANE trapping, which is what this video is illustrating, not making the animal suffer from being burnt, bleached or hit with a shovel just coz youre annoyed about your trees and feeling powerful. There are plenty of companies that use effective live traps too and they can be relocated to wildlife areas away from peoples' homes (with a license tho).
