My mom mentioned going strawberry picking about a month ago, but not knowing what to do with all the berries. I sent her this video, and I kid you not she has made these scones now like 4 times since then. I'm enjoying the fruits of her labor too - delicious!
After a terrible first attempt, I tried it again - this time going extra slow to make sure I didn't overmix the dough (which is what I think went wrong the first time). And they came out SO GOOD! Definitely worth your time to give this recipe a try!
I love that no matter what recipe of yours I click on, I know that it will be easy to understand and full of tips to have the best outcome. Thank you for that ☺️❤️
Very lovely video, Sara, thank you. After watching sooo many episodes of Father Brown, in which Mrs. M feeds everyone her famed strawberry scones, I scoured the internet for the perfect recipe. Your video inspires me the most. So this is the recipe I will follow!
Just made these! My family loved them with homemade whipped cream. I made them in the food processor. I didn’t have room in my freezer for the pans. I just put them in the refrigerator for 35 minutes before baking.
Thank you so much for this delicious recipe! I made them twice and they were gone in no time..I made a batch of blueberry scones too with the same recipe, equally yummy!
Went picking strawberries on Monday and made these with the remainder of my fresh local strawberries...my god these were sooooo good. Thanks for sharing the recipe! Going to try other add-ins in the future. stirred up the dry ingredients with a food processor and then added the remaining ingredients in another large bowl.
These scones were “lovely,” especially given it was my first attempt! I followed your every ingredient and instruction-The flavor and texture were spot on! Another good one!🙌🏽
I made these today and they were amazing! Surprisingly easy to make and the whole family loved them. Thank you for all of your recipes, you make meal planning more enjoyable instead of something that is tiring
I love this!! It’s so on time. One, I bought half and half for one recipe and don’t really need it for anything else and two I just bought a couple pounds of strawberries that I really had no plans for other than snacking so I will be making these in the morning!! Thank you!!! 😊
If you’ve never had a scone (I prefer with no glaze) with some lemon curd spread onto every bite, it’s totally life changing!! Strawberry scones are my favorite combo with lemon curd!
Made these today. Added lemon juice. This batter is SOOOO good on its own!! Waiting for them to come out of the oven now! Can't wait to add the glaze to them and eat!
Just put these in the oven! I didn't have half and half so I did use milk, but in the written recipe on your website it says to add an additional 2 TBSP milk. I did this as well but the dough was waaaaay too sticky and I needed to add more flour. So if any one is making these, don't add the extra 2 TBSP milk. I will report back when they are finished baking :) Edit: They are good, even with a few mistakes.
just made these... and they are the BEST scones i have ever had! these are soooo good 😍 had them english/swiss style with creme double and strawberry jam. not from this world 🥰🥰🥰
Oh, thanks for this recipe! It seems easy and versatile, like you said. Not much more difficult than biscuits on a slow Sunday morning. YUM! (I've always heard that about pie crust - it gets more flaky the colder the ingredients are.)
"throw these into the freezer..." realizes some will literally take it seriously. "don't actually throw it." :D I live for the recipes and bits of comedy
It's too hot to bake here but I made your vegan ice cream today with my new food processor and it is amazing! And sugar free cause it's made with bananas. Delish! Thank you!
I love scones & they look so amazing. I usually add dates & candied fruits in my scone but I never tried strawberry scone. They look so good, I feel like having em right away.
Sooo good and super easy and fun to make! Love them and will be trying so many variations!! Thank you!!! Oh and very satisfying and relaxing to mix by hand💆🏼♀️ 💗
Was just talking to two of my cousins this afternoon about hosting a “scone & jam party” with our girl-cousins & aunts... (when the social distancing measures ease up)! 😍
well hello strawberry scones ...yum yum indeed ...you always cheer me up ...i watch you n your smiles infectious so i sit smiling ha ha strange im sure im not the only one who smiles back ...i wish i could click a button on my phone n wallah a scone pops through ...oh hell yeah 😀😀
Well, that just made me hungry all over again. 😁 They look delicious, and the recipe looks so simple. I'll have to try these as soon as I get some Half and Half. Can't wait.

I love how this recipe uses cold butter, so you don't have to soften it. I'm definitely going to make these today! Thank you!
I hope you love them 🥰🍓
I love, love, love scones. I like freezing the butter for a while then grating it with a cheese grater. Perfect little shaved pieces of butter.
Great suggestion!
Thank you so much for this delicious recipe! I made them twice and they were gone in no time..I made a batch of blueberry scones too with the same recipe, equally yummy!
Already in love with these just from the caption photo. Butter is better. This is lovely to pair with chocolates covered Strawberries. Thank you

Scones and tea are the best magic😁😋

And w/o any mixers! Perfect for the dorm room, thank you, definitely will try to bake it
These are amazing and so simple to make. The first time I made them, they didn’t last.🍓❤️ My kids made them on their own today.

@@thedomesticgeek1 So good! Not too sweet. Moist, delightful. Made 8, only one left a day later!

The 2 TBSP of milk were for brushing the top of the scones with... not adding them to the dough (:
I've just made these and they are very good
So glad you like them!
Looks yummy. I'm not a cooked strawberry fan so I will try blueberries and lemon.

Lovely! Can these be frozen? If so, at which step in the process. I’m single and really shouldn’t have 12 scones hanging around my kitchen!😁
childskoerner then half the recipe to 6
You can leave the formed scones in the freezer and then bake them one at a time 😊
Haha!! It's a good excuse. "I made them! I have to eat them!" ;)
Delicious 👌🏽
Thanks!
Love to watching you....lockdown pizza recipe please
Yummy! As usual!
Second time making 😊😊😊😊😊😊 this time I’m freezing over night

You are the best!!!
Very disappointed that you didn't show the amounts while making the scones. :/
Looks yummy! Can in use almond milk instead of half and half cream?
Thanks you dear one 😊❤
I made these and it was delicious with cranberries instead of strawberries
Can u make these with gluten free all purpose flour??
First Comment!! Love you Sara! I LOVE strawberries, this is PERFECT!
Are you trying to impress because wow
Thanks for being so early & for all the love!
can I skip the sugar? perhaps replace it with sugar free maple syrup that I have. can that work?
