I feel like Lowndes gets lots of well deserved praise for his natural talent and flamboyant driving style but more and more I think that his best drives, like this one, Bathurst 2010, Adelaide 1999, are as a result of his strength, grit and fitness. Such a fierce competitor.
I felt really bad for Luke Youlden on this day, Erabus was really unprofessional with trying to make David finish the race (Regardless if it was his decision, He was in no condition). They should've just put Youlden in the car instead of wasting a pit stop on an unhealthy Reynolds with electrolytes. YOU HAVE A 2ND DRIVER ERABUS!!!
@@61SGman Completely agree. Youlden wouldn't catch Lowndes on his best day, but getting on the podium would've awarded Erabus and Davey for all the hard work they did, until they threw it all away. Would have been a nice story for Luke 'saving the podium for Erabus' on that day, BUT that's not how we will remember it. It's like Barry Ryan knew Luke wouldn't beat Lowndes; but a 50% Reynolds was their best bet? I'm glad Erabus are where they are at now with that idiot calling the shots, they never would've beaten 888 in the championship without Brodie Kostecki.
The lead driver of a team can't do any more than 107 laps under the rules, while the co-driver needs to have completed at least 54 laps. so that could go the other way. the maximum number of laps any driver can complete is 107.

They wouldn’t of atleast ended up finishing second, Luke wouldn’t of been able to beat Lowndes

Thank you for putting this up. I've loved this racetrack since I found out about it, several years ago. And Craig Lowndes is one of the best.
