Oh Nikki my heart goes out to you and Shaun, but at least you discovered the leaks now and can get them sorted. I am looking forward to seeing how it progresses. Take care x
Nothing worse than water 😮, hope it all gets sorted. Love your ideas and vision , it will no doubt look fab when you are done , can’t wait to see it come together 🥰🥰🩷
Water leaks are the worst, they ruin everything they touch! Lots to do, but at least you get to choose without feeling guilty about replacing things that don’t really need replacing. X
Hi Nikki glad to see you back but ho my goodness what a surprise you got was it the radiators that leaked may have been better putting everything into storage apart from a couple of chairs and just put a new floor straight through. I am in a similar position had a burn out of electric cable in the wall, the person I bought the bungalow off pulled the front room fireplace out I put a electric flame fire in, kitchen they took a wall cupboard out left the wall in a mess moved the boiler onto another wall and not repaired the wall all kitchen units the plastic is coming off so I am having to sort a lot out I have only got two chairs in my living room until I get it decorated and new carpets. So know the feeling good luck, glad to see you back 😮
Hiya, no it wasn’t the radiators, we still trying to identify the leaks ! Yes good idea about the storage we may even do that ! Sounds like you have had issues too sorry to hear that xx
So impressed that you've remained stoic and resilient despite the setbacks. Your plans sound great, looking forward to seeing it all come together. Love that sneak peek of the kitchen. 💙
Did I miss something, where is the water coming from and what about the foundations and drying out the floorboards. What a project for you, hope it all works out. Take care.
@@bitsbobsbubbles same thing happened to us nikki ! only in 1 room thankfully, but after wed just done some other major work and were justy about to plaster . the plastering money went on a new floor and we had to save up again for plastering... we ended up goin with an insulated concrete floor in the end .. 3 years weve been renovating this house and i lived how your living now for quite some time, so im feeling your pain !! sending lots of love xxx
Major work to do Nikki but when you have both worked your magic I’m sure will be amazing and I think the amozon light stand would look great in the corner happy home improvements xxxx😊
Hi Nikki you must be exsorsted with it all .l hope you get it all sorted the way you want it .might take a while but it will be worth it when it's done God's blessing to all your family x ❤
Oh my goodness Nikki ! What a palaver , I hope everything works out. Have to say I’m ever so excited to see the makeover , especially the kitchen , the colour looks fabulous ❤❤❤
Hi, nikki must be so frustrating I know how clean and tidy you love to have your home it's surprising what you find when you start a small job what you're planning sounds amazing love to you both keep up the good work xxx
Gosh Nikki how devastating but you're handling it very well! Hope you managed to source the start of the leak? I think a mirror opposite the window in your dinning room would reflect the light! xx
Oh Nikki I am so sorry this has happened to you both it’s a lot of work to be done and the mess it all makes it’s hard to live in a mess but you will get there love from Ireland
We had a leak behind the washing machine in the kitchen that we didn't realise , as it didn't come to the front but behind the cabinets. It must have leaked for quite some time, as it was moldy, we sought it was the roof but it wasn't. Anyway we needed a new kitchen, which turned out in a big renovation. It will all be worth it in the end. Xx
Awww Nikki... Bless your heart xx What a bloomin nightmare 😢 How are you still so bubbly Honey? You're an amazing woman and an inspiration... I admire you so much and hope everything turns out right in the end... I'm sure you've only been in your home a few years... right??? Seems like some dodgy builders have left you in a right mess... its not fair... You're such a lovely lady and don't deserve this xx sending hugs from Jacquie xx
Ah thank you Jacquie, yes we’ve only been here 4 years, so when we moved in looked lovely on the surface but then things started to unravel ! Doors falling off, mold appearing, fall started lifting in, bi-fold doors - the glass was upside down and so on …….. we have spent a lot of unnecessary money to make it all right but it keeps going …. I just keep going and try not to think about it, there’s a lot more heart ache out there in this world. I’ve just subscribed to your channel I didn’t know you had one ! Xx
@@bitsbobsbubbles Awww bless your heart Nikki sounds like you've got a lot of hard work ahead of you xx Your home does look beautiful and very classy but it's such a shame the underneath has let you down and now needs a lot of repairing... I know you'll have it looking better than before as you have impeccable taste and are very talented... I hope you can continue to stay positive lovely lady and I'll have my fingers crossed that everything will go smoothly from now on xx I haven't posted on my channel for a while as my health has been poor but I'm looking forwards to starting recording again soon... it's a fun hobby for me but I'm not brave enough to show my face!!! Thank you so so much for subscribing lovely lady... big hugs from Jacquie xx
Oh Nikki, what a nightmare for you and Shaun. I am sorry, i know the feeling of finding something wrong whuch just keeps getting worse and worse. I really feel for you. I hooe it all gets sorted soon for you both x
Really hope you can source the problem. You have not mentioned if someone has located what sort of leak and where is it coming from. If the joists are rotten due to water damage that is a major issue. Your insurance company would normally advise if a structural engineer needs to check things out.
It will nice when its done gd been you could fell thru the floor my niece bathroom. So want to wood they put on boards thin like a ryvita it started bouncing she had get repaired
Well we not sure, we think the leak in the front living room is from an air brick that is below the required level so the rain is running in !! The other leaks we are not sure where they are coming from we are still trying to identify them xx
Someone needs to be held accountable for all of this surely? I think I would be looking to make a claim against the culprits very dangerous live wires and water. Poor you and Shaun I wish you lots of luck and know you're make this into a stunning space again. Good luck Xx
Well we did think of taking this further, so we may look into because it’s absolutely terrible 😞 the builders have left us in a right state and it’s just not fair x
Nikki what a bloody nightmare. That's all you need. You never know what you will unearth when taking on a project especially when it's not what you have done. It's worth it in the end to get it right. I have a tall lamp shelf, I love it.
The house was built in the 50’s but was bought by builders who then renovated the house and turned it into a modern home but they did such a terrible job it’s heartbreaking 💔
We have a leak in our conservatory, the water company say that it is the underground pipes, but it's not under our property, it's happening next door and the water is finding its way to us the neighbour says its not so we are trying to get it sorted out at the moment ifeel for you Nikki, I hope you get it fixed soon, take care 💋
Oh my word what a job you didn't know about the leaks and now having to pull the floors up and start again. I'm sure you'll turn this negative into a positive.
I have no idea how you and your husband have been coping, I hope you have good insurance very poor but glad you found it and that not to much mold hugs
So sorry Nicky you must be so 🤬angry hopefully someone is watching that can help you and your family, but try not be disheartened it will all come together ❤
