@@tonycorvettes awesome video subscribed, lots of useful information you could create 3-4 videos out of this one video. anyway heres my situation: 2015 corvette: There was an accident on the rear the exhaust with mufflers was cut and after the rear was fixed I was told to go find a new exhaust mufflers and install it. after having new mufflers installed for 2 weeks I read online that I should pull fuses and one of those fuses controls the cylinder deactivation I did this because someone said you can always make your corvette loud by pulling these fuses, so I did it and after words the engine light came on and now we also have the same p25c8 code but also the p12e3(cylinder deactivation exhaust value). So either the cord is unplugged that controls the exhaust value or the fuses I pulled tripped and confused the computer. long story short im not pulling fuses again because even when I put those fuses back eventually after about a week the codes came back. Not sure why they are coming back but I hope I dont need anything special to clear it. I read there is some other kind of obd2 that you need thats not really an obd2 but its like 500 dollars and its needed to clear this code.. how annoying I guess i need to be way more careful before performing fixes I just thought I should take care of it my self the dealership has been a nightmare to deal with.
I also got p26c8 with code p12fd boigjt the car with the CEL. Already purchased the actuator and looking to get it installed at thr dealer. Question, is there anythjng else that has to be done manually as i see i nolaces it has to "relearn" the new piece or i just drive it a few cycles and should go off. Thanks!
hello i have a 2015 corvette i just changed my exhaust and now have a p26c8 code is this the left or right side in trouble? thanks tony
Is that the only code that came up? For me P25C8 meant something was wrong and what was wrong was P12FC.
@@phoenixpain my trouble fixed both plugs came undone on my exhaust trying to put them back i was able to squeez my hand up there and plug them in
