I expressed my concern, and he told me not to worry because Hwoarang is a main character. He messaged me minutes after it was released and asked me, "Guess what trailer was released today?" What took them long enough ? To provide you with the character that you specifically wanted ? What were you concerned about ? Hwoarang has been an iconic character since Tekken 3 You really didn't think he would be in the game ? Let's go through this.. Characters who are already confirmed: Hwoarang, Jack 8, Jin, Kazuya, King, Lars, Law, Leroy, Paul Asuka, Jun, Lili, Nina, Xiaoyu 14 so far.. These are the characters that simply should be (tempted to even say WILL be) in the game because of their history and popularity: Bryan, Dragunov, Eddy, Feng, Lee, Steve, Yoshimitsu Alisa, Raven Kuma/Panda Which puts the total up to 24/25 (depending on what they do with Kuma/Panda. Imagine they made those 2 into 1 character LOL) Others that might show up in starting roaster or as DLC: Armor King (Likely due to his popularity. Perhaps one of the first Guest characters) YES Bob (Most likely because of having someone in their game who represents fat people) YES Bruce (I really think this iconic character should have already been in Tekken 7) YES Claudio (Hmm.. Likely due to his uniqueness and cool (?) Fighting style) YES Devil Jin (I don't think so, after now having been fused with Jin. MAYBE guest character) YES Heihachi (It would just be dumb at this point in a starting roaster but perhaps as a guest character) YES Marduk (Probably, as he has been in every Tekken since 4) YES Lei (Iconic, should be in the game. I think they failed by not having him in the T7 starting roster) YES Miguel (Interesting one.. Unique style and attitude. Was in starting roster of 6 and 7. Because if you look back at Tekken 6 starting roster, these are the ones that also starred in the Tekken 7 starting roster: Lars, Leo, Miguel, Alisa Therefore I strongly believe they will also be in the Tekken 8 starting roster. Then these made it from Tekken 6 into 7 as a guest: Armor King, Ganryu, Lei, Marduk, Anna, Julia, Zafina Maybe they wanted those 7 guest characters as a part of the starting roster in T7, butt they had to pick and choose because of the new ones they were adding: Akuma, Claudio, Gigas, Shaheen, Josie, Katarina, Kazumi, Lucky Chloe. Seeing how EVERY new character from Tekken 6 made it into Tekken 7 somehow, wouldn't it be likely they did the same for Tekken 8 ? Except for the 2D characters of course if they are not including that in the next game. Which means (according to my calculations and assumptions), that Tekken 8 might have a starting roster that looks kind of like this: Bob, Bruce, Bryan, Claudio, Dragunov, Eddy, Feng, Hwoarang, Jack, Jin, Kazuya, King, Lars, Law, Lee, Lei, Leroy, Marduk, Miguel, Paul, Shaheen, Steve, Yoshimitsu Alisa, Asuka, Josie, Jun, Julia, Katarina, Kazumi, Leo, Lidia, Lili, Lucky Chloe, Nina, Raven, Xiaoyu, Zafina, Kuma/Panda Which totalts 40 characters IF they do like they did with Tekken 7, it's likely the starting number will be close to 40.
