Mesmo o Rock, tem muita coisa boa, e culturalmente definiu uma transição forte, e tem muita banda que segue o eestilo, mas, pessoalmente, acho o rock dos anos 70 realmente uma fase de transição, muito experimentalismo. E tem aquela sonoridade prórpria. As bandas de rock que imitam coisas dos anos 70 não tem a mesma sonoridadade, tem sonoridade de imitadores, e muitos sem personalidade, mas vende muito. Agora, música eletrônica, dos anos 80 é fora de série. Tem diversas bandas que soam como se fosse tão atuais quanto hoje em dia. Muita qualidade na composição, gravação, produção. Especialmente, segunda metade dos anos 80... Front, Nitzer Ebb, Skinny Puppy, Ministry, Front Line Assembly (tudo bem que esse foi mais início dos anos 90 que produziu as coisas de qualidade fora do comum). Foi a década de 80 que definiu a música eletrônica e o hip hop. E o anos 90 deu aquela polida violenta. Tem uma infinitude de coisas de começo dos anos 90 que é mais bem produzido que coisa moderna, um monte de coisa que ninguém diria que foi feito há 30 anos atrás. E bandas tipo Korn, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, Prodigy, todos se influenciaram muito nessas bandas. Pior, muita coisa gravada "em casa", como Swamp Terrorists, Aghast View, Numb, Leaether Strip, praticamente TUDO de techno, especialmente de Detroit. Coisas como KMFDM e Lords of Acid, Pragha Khan, extremamente relevantes influenciando tudo que veio na cena rave de início dos anos 90. E todas essas bandas que citei, tu escuta hoje em dia, não parece música velha!!!

A cop told me, "turn that muzik down"... I am currently restoring that car as a fresh radical kustom here in Ft. Lauderdale... Back then, I also had Ministry and Skinny Puppy blastin' in that ride too...
This was a regular on the playlist of Mean Mr. Mustards, a new wave/punk dance bar at Ohio State. Epic memories and fun in the 80’s and 90’s, not sure when it closed.
Reminds me of my occasional forays to a long-gone club in NYC entitled The Bank, in the early 90s to mid 1990s, in which one could frolic on two dark and gloomy floors of industrial-gothic gloominess. The downstairs basement was much more gloomy than the main floor, and more fun, really. Upstairs you'd hear this, downstairs was more Christian Death, London After Midnight, and hardcore goth and batcave bands. Girls with long, long leather boots on. I miss it.
