Guitar Chords for Beginners - Am6

I don't understand what the "6" in am6 means..... Like b7 or e7

i know it was 2 months ago, but "6" in a chord means 6th note in the scale, so in A Minor its F#

...but it is the 6 from A major, not A minor... ....thats what i dont get...

@@madfalls I found out that the 6 doesn't mean adding the 6th in the minor key, but the 6th in the major key. It's just A minor with a major 6th.
