It's been forever since I drew some fanart and there's a reason for it:
I'm just really bad at drawing fanart, so I hate to draw it; simple, aye? (Takes forever)
I'm in love with the webcomic Ava's Demon, but none of my friends actually read it, or are obsessed with it as much as I am, so I'm just stuck talking to myself. I hope Michelle gets better soon, she seems to have lots of problems at the Moment..

Oh my god... I used to watch this speedpaint on repeat when I was 13-14. It was the reason I left my comfort zone of lining to try a more painted/rendered look for my pieces.

The original time? I'm not really sure, since I was pretty lazy and didn't work on it the whole time.
Ummm so like three to four days? (Not the whole day though). It also took so long. because it was pretty difficult to imitate the style and I'm not that good with fanart (meaning: it takes forever).

I don't know if you usually reply to your comments, I just hope you reply to this. I'm an upcoming artist, I know I'm not good, I know I'm nod bad, I just want to know how many yeard had it taken you to get to this level? Did you have to go to take any lessons?
Hey, I can't really tell you 'how long' it took to get to this 'level'. I think it's different for everyone. I'm 17 now and have to say, while drawing is frustrating it came more easily to me than anything else I've ever done.
I'm visiting an art class, though it's not for learning really. The art class has lots of expensive supplys. There are teachers there, but I mostly don't need help and I taught most things myself. Of course it's good to use references (real ones as well as references from drawings. But let me tel youl, not one artist is perfect, everyone makes mistakes. I still make many mistakes too). So no I didn't have to take lessons, but even if you take lessons, it's not a shame to ask for help. If anything asking for help, helps you getting better.
If you want I can tell you some artist I like to use as reference/inspiration.

I would guess three to four days? I'm really lazy so it kinda expanded over a week or so without me doing anything. I didn't really work on it the whole time so yeah, maybe three to four days?

At that point I was still using the Pro version :)
In my opinion Pro and Ex aren't that different when it comes to purely illustrating (unless you want to do comics of course)
