I agree with the decision to not jump the Vic’s. Like you said it’s dangerous, almost a guarantee to cause back injury, and it destroys 20 perfect crown Vic’s. It’s gonna be. Bad ass race tonight

I think back to the original Freedom 500 in 2020 and it's unbelievable how far they have come in a mere 4 years! Every single event Cleet seems to make improvements, whether it be production, facilities, entertainment, concessions, etc. Hats off boys, you have done an amazing job, can't wait to see what is looks like in another 4 years! Do it for Dale!!!

I would love to show this video to 2017 cleetus just to see his reaction. I dont think he would even believe what his channel could have turned into, much less that it does in fact happen. I lost the interest in watching much for racing back when I was a kid, but cleetus and crew have brought back my excitement to watch racing events again. Love these guys

I was against the jump because if you keep destroying the Crown Vic's you will run out of them. Look what happened to the Dodge Charger. They are so rare now it cost an arm and a leg to just get part of one.
Smart move on not including the jump in the race. Apart from possible injuries to the participants, those Crown Vics are an important asset for the Freedom Factories future races. Jumping would probably destroy most of them. No bueno.
I think you should make another ramp that only has a 4”-8” high side. That should be plenty to get 12”-18” in the air at those speeds and shouldn’t cause major problems in any way if the ramp is made at the correct angle/rise-run ratio…
as much as i wanna see the finale of Vic's launching, as A person wtih life-long arthritis in my lower neck/spine, it's not worth it. Thank you for putting their safety and futures at the forefront of importance. I wouldn't want anybody to have to live with the neck pain i have to suffer with every single day for the rest of my life.
Seems like an awesome atmosphere. What Cleet has done for racing is truly something special. Can't wait for the day they bring this event to southwest Norway, which they totally will at some point, right? Having the drivers running is unfair. Some of those people might not even make it all the way over to the cars. Just have them across the from the cars.
I was part of the 25% too. I was frightened for the guys. With the exception of Travis, these guys are not stunt drivers. This is a fun event. They should not be subject to getting hurt

I wanted the jump but you made the right call. Maybe have a think about incorporating it into a more bash-em-up kind of race in the future? Spinal damage could be mitigated by fitting the seats to some kind of spring or air sytem like in a big rig and then you just need some very expendable cars. Preferably slower ones. Or you could just have a smaller jump. Or a water splash. Or a washing up liquid splash on the last few laps.
Cleet u need to do a real Le Mans start and they can't start the engine till belts are pulled tight, This should allow enough time for the slower people to get to their cars and not get run over. Back in the day at Lemans they would be putting harnesses on driving with a knee flying down the Mulsanne straight and still had to hook up other stuff on top of that. The running part does not need to be very long and there are other ways to keep the cars from taking the slow runners out like jersey barrier with small gaps to run through and cars are on other side so the wall will separate them. Just some ideas but always been a fan of that kind of start just like standing starts are way better than rolling starts too.
I love the running aspect of it it for the sole fact it give the drivers a good way of deciding who is first or last and have to be strategic about it like biffle wanting to go first so he doesn't have to run lol 😅 but I feel like it makes for good racing though because your gonna have great drivers out on the first leg and the second leg instead of having nothing but all good driver on the second leg of the race. Now they have to come up with a solid plan

Make the jump optional for those not on the lead lap so if you jump it you automatically get put on lead lap.
