Good to hear about the spareparts news...... definately is a big issue which all previous peugeot customer is worried about, as im considering peugeot 3008 at the moment
@@YSKhongDrivinghow long even so call MD could not promise on this ? Then wait la until every ready which mean Peugeot is not ready all are propaganda only
One of the reasons I bought my 3008 was based on the joy of Uncle YS previous genting run video. Good to see you still have the joy bringing this car up to genting.
Wow, MD driving the car itself….what you all still waiting for? Anyways rented it in Thailand, handling is good, drove thru mountain roads, my family sleeping behind no issues, quiet when needed, loud anytime you want it 😉
ride wise I find it a bit firm for a peugeot. but reliability is still questionable. a friend who bought this 3 years ago and encountered random warning light just after two weeks of ownership. had to bring in at least four times before Naza was able to resolve it. the centre screen interface was very laggy
Great video but sorry, Stellantis, I don't understand. Parts centre but car in workshop every other month, whats the difference ah? And btw, if you think French brands have turned a corner, you'd be wrong. Imagine 2023 2008s and Citroen C4 hatchbacks with AC refusing to turn off even after the car is locked. I'll believe it when I see them as reliable as BYD... let alone Toyota.
Is there a market for the 308 GTi engine to be placed in this car? In the UK we get the 4 cylinder 1.6 Turbo engine, but it outputs 270BHP and 330NM, which is much more than this, but its manual gearbox not auto like this. Maybe the auto box not tough enough for the power and torque levels?
@@YSKhongDriving in the UK we have them in the 308 GTi, RCZ-R coupe, and also used in the 3008 GT Hybrid. I’m not sure which one of those are available in Malaysia market, but this “Prince” engine was co developed with BMW and normally found in the Mini and 4 cylinder turbo charged N13 engines in the BMW 1 and 3 series, but these are all much lower power, so to get the 270 it’s the Peugeot products.
@@YSKhongDriving Use to be able to get via the local dealers (be it Nasim or earlier authorised dealers) by special order. I had a DS4 200 thp ordered before. Just have to wait for build once you order. Roughly 3 months then

PLEASE DONT BUY THIS CAR, FROM A EX OWNER, BOUGHT THIS CAR AND THE NEXT DAY GAVE PROBLEM, A LOT OF ISSUES WILL POP UP. AND THE WORST PART IS YOU WONT GET SPARE PART IN MALAYSIA. WHOEVER WATCHING THIS VIDEO PLS SKIP THIS CAR. I MANAGE TO SELL THIS WITH RM40K LOSS. WORST REGRET IN MY LIFE.

PLS DONT BELIEVE IT. ITS A SCAM. THE CAR PRODUCTION ALREADY STOPPED. YOU WONT GET THE SPARE PART
Rented this exact same model in Phuket recently and was pleasantly impressed!

Thanks for your support!
The Sports mode engine roar sounds awesome.
i remember the Kastam DiRaja Malaysia used to have Peugeot 305 GTX for their enforcement car
New 3008 look epic. Hope malaysia get updated model fastttt

Please bring in the 208 and 308. Hatchbacks are getting popular here. example mazda3 and city hatchback
Good input. Hopefully you will be heard.
I own one. No, actually two. The other being 208 puretech. 408GT is powerful with 8speed gearbox but out of my reach.
But really need to improve spare parts availability. For now, while I love my Peugeot, I will not encourage my relatives and friends to own one.

Am waiting for the relaunch of the "C" brand by Stellantis. C5X
Me too. How about AR?
@@YSKhongDriving AR memang best but it will be priced out of my reach. 10-15% more than C okayl-ah but latest trend is that it is much more.
Alfa Romeo please especially Junior 😄
GIULIA QV!
You may get it sooner than you think!
Is there any ADAS in that car?
Have~
time to look at new 408
hmm....7 years indeed interesting but 200,000km, I can clock it within 3years+. why not consider unlimited mileage? hehe
Dreams are free!
Peugeot 208 possibility coming to malaysia ?
Not sure

Seems to me that the views expressed here seems confusing and probably to blur the issues raised.....

New Malaysian 408 uses the same engine as the 208gti and 308gti.
270 bhp sounds exciting, how can I get one?
