Thank you, Pastor. Very helpful.A favorite topic for me.🌹🌹🌹🌹What a lovely surprise to find that your #1 is the series I intend to purchase for my personal layperson study in a couple of years time, chosen because I can trust a non-Calvinistic Wesleyan approach for such a tender subject. And.... I now have the imprimatur of a clergyman I thoroughly respect. Many Blessings for you and yours. ⭐⭐⭐
Hi Stephen, Goldingay is my 'go to' on Psalms followed by Allen Ross in the Kregel Exegetical Library series. I must confess that I also have a soft spot for Spurgeon's 'Treasury of David'!
This was a very good overview. I am not a huge fan of the NIVAC series, but I really like Wilson! I also really like James Hamilton, and VanGemeren. Yes, they are reformed, but sometimes I have a taste for a good reformed exposition of scripture. I also love David Guzik’s Bible expositions for sermon preparation
Thank you very much for this video pastor. Im doing an in- depth study of the book of Daniel at the moment. Could you give your recommendations for commentaries on Daniel? Keep up the the good work with these videos - its candyland for me - love it. God bless.
Hi brother, can you make a video on 1 corinthians? Also, this one was amazing. I recently bought the nicot commentary and i was wondering whether it is in your video or not. I was surprised when i saw that you ranked it that hight, that s briliant!! I m excited to get it too!!
Awesome i need to get one of these. This has been a passage of scripture i really need to fix my approach to the psalters. Im not a preacher but i am going from the start of the bible all the way through. I use a commentary to help while reading but dont read every sentence. But if i have questions then i will consult the nbbc on the verse by verse commentary and go to others if my question is not answered do you think that is a decent way to read through?
Do you have something to say about the commentaries on Psalms by Bruce Waltke? I don't have it (yet) but I find original his presentation by types of psalm
