- Hi guys! Join me as we take a roadtrip up to northern Vermont (almost to the Canadian border!) to see the Great Northern American Solar Eclipse. We were able to be in the line of complete totality and OH MY GOSH. Quite honestly the MOST magical and otherworldly thing I have ever seen. Then the rest of the week is spent packing shop orders and starting to pack the April monthly bookmark and sticker clubs!

We had a total eclipse here in SW Britain in 1999 but it was completely cloudy so we didn’t see anything but it was so eerie when it went dark and all the birds stop singing! Such a cool experience and definitely otherworldly! Glad you got to see it xx

Hi Emily, I order thank you cards as well and what I do when I want to add a theme, survey or whatever you can run it through your regular printer, saves ink on full colour prints but can just add custom text, works great for me.
So much fun! I live in the path of the last eclipse we had a few years back. Watched while sitting on my front porch, sharing the experience with a few friends. Your experience reminded me of how magical it was. Sadly, the cloud cover was too heavy this time around to see anything this year. But I got to enjoy it through your eyes. And, I am with you on the loneliness/depression front. I have run my own biz for many many many years -- alone. And...some days it is tough not having another human to chat with. My pups are always underfoot so that helps...but the conversation is a little one-sided. This past year, I have been tuning in to a few people while they are live packing orders on Tik Tok -- and it almost feels like we are sharing the same space. Of course, the conversation is one-sided; but somehow it feels as if I am working side-by-side with them. Sending good energy your way in an effort to help you find a solution that helps keep your depression at bay. If only Toby could speak English...💕💛💕

I’m so excited you got to experience the total eclipse. I wasn’t really paying attention to the news and happened to travel to Austin that day and our friend had the day planned for us. I was able to experience the total eclipse and it was so amazing. The world became silent for that moment. Loved it. ❤❤❤

the uk had an Eclipse in 2000 it was so unreal.. the poor birds where flying everywhere as they didn't know what was happening.. its an experience your never forget..
It definitely is a once in a lifetime type of experience!
Maybe instead of having certain cards for each month you could have a generic one and then print the monthly theme name on stickers (like the address labels) and just sick them on the cards. It will be faster than hand writing them but also you could use the the same cards, just switch out the month info.

We were in the path of totality in Texas but sadly our weather was not cooperating 😕. We did however experience the darkness which was pretty cool and all the animals were confused. We have backyard chickens and they didn't know what to make of it 😂. Fun fact, but we also had a regular ring of fire eclipse in Oct and this eclipse crossed it's path and made an X, perhaps I should've dug for buried treasure. 😂

I actually ended up getting used to them! Kind of lol. Some days I’m good with them, others it bothers me but just depends on the day and my sensory levels 🤣 and it’s funny you mention that but I’m loving the larger packing sticker too! 😻

There were a few other coworking comments but another option (but one more thing for you to manage) could be Patreon. I know a lot of other small businesses that host co-working sessions on there or just have a discord group for other small businesses or followers to connect.
Ohhhhhh I’ve heard of patreon! Do they host the coworking sessions as lives with customers or with other business owners? That could be neat to try!

Have you thought about online co-working? I do this with some other adhders. I do this either through discord or zoom. I’ve gotten to know people who don’t live anywhere near me and it’s been helpful for accountability too.
That is an interesting idea. I am alone as well and I have thought of having a friend just work along with me through FaceTime. I have a sewing friend in WA and I live in AL. This could help with loneliness.
I've seen others do this as well, I have such a hard time keeping on task. I didn't have this problem until a few years ago. I don't know if it's a another gift of my autoimmune disease or as my former DR wanted to tell me whenever I brought anything up " it's because your getting older"🙄.
I've never thought of that, what a great idea for us small business owners who spend more time alone than is healthy!

Have you thought of hiring help through Task Rabbit or some other small job app? There must be someone near you who would love to just get an afternoon here or there of work. They could do the simple most time-consuming tasks. That way you can specify that they are C-virus negative and willing to work to meet your specific needs. I would love to help you, but I'm in MN. I hope you find a way through the blues. It helps to ask for help. Is there a small business owners group to join in your area? Thanks for sharing your eclipse experience and business owner struggles.
