I love the radial edge idea on drums. I had a Gretsch kit from the 60's that had 30 degree edge cuts from the inside of the shell's circumference to the outside. That pushed the contact edge slightly inside the head and gave it far more resonance. This video overall is very impressive. Grover makes some very fine products.
