Like you, I own a Harley Davidson and I also enjoy going to any Demo days that I can find regardless of brand. I just like riding motorcycles. Enjoyed the video, stay safe.
Enjoyed watching. I test rode one last year, and I liked it. I did notice the heat out of the left side, not horrible, but noticeable. Following on the forums some guys state they have noticed it too. The consensus is that it’s from the rear left exhaust pipe, which makes sense. Anyhow A lot of your statements , I agree with .. low center of gravity, engine sound .. 1300cc’s lol. For the price it’s a lot of bike.. heated seat and grips, adjustable shield nice clear gauges, function screen, and nav.. led lights all around.. Huge storage space, way more than a wing..and the heat on the left leg... If they can solve the heat, which again some don’t mind but I did, this bike is a powerful option in its class for what it’s fitted with. Thanks for bring me along.. I need to ride the Eluder.
I enjoyed riding this bike. Many have talked about the resale value and I agree but resale values are always going down on every brand because there are so many used bikes out there. And yes the heat is there I guess there might be a heat shield you can put on it? Ride Safe
This is a sought after bike now since they were discontinued after 2020. I found an 18' red just like this one with only 5300 miles on it last year and love it. People are always asking what kind of bike is that because they are rarely seen. I did give the ECU the Ivan's flash treatment. Had to get rid of the dreaded fuel cut on decel and the gear specific fuel mapping. I had an Ultra but there's just an over-saturation of HD's out there and I wanted something different.
HarleyDayRider I had a indian mechanic tell me that their bikes were all five gears. So stated in a ride review. Even though I could feel overdrive. He seemed so damn, confident. =)
I know this is an older video, but the Venture was being heavily discounted in 2019, as low as $18K in So Cal. Did not seem to be selling at the $24K price point.
I looked at them yesterday. I wasn't real impressed . If I wanted a big air cooled twin I'd buy a Harley or Indian . The 2020 Goldwing blew me away though! Perfect combo of touring, sportiness, and being fast. These new ones are really nice ! Yamaha should have went with a straight 6 or something like BMW. I like big v twins and all but that just isn't the Japanese strong point. When someone wants a Honda or Yamaha it's usually to get away from air cooled twins
@@HarleyDayRider Yes I did buy it and just absolutely love it. It takes a while to get used to a new bike but now that I'm getting there the shifting is the best I have ever seen and I rode Harley, BMW K1600 & a manual Goldwing. Torque and sheer POWER is the word of the day when riding! I have 1500 miles on it now and that engine is amazing. Someone said "it's like a Goldwing fused with a Roadglide Ultra and I would say that's close to the truth.
Actually the new venture is an air cooled V-TWIN 1900CC similar to the v-twin from the Yamaha Stratoliner ! This venture is 958 lbs the 1300 engine mentioned by the the guy doing the video was the same engine from the v-max but lower hp used in earlier ventures from the mid 80’s! Good video though!
Sure Park, it allows the motorcycle to creep forward or in reverse via a secondary system. A first in motorcycles. BMW and Honda use the starter for reverse only.
no manufacturer other than Harley, ever put turn signals on both sides, a design I never understood. who would want to be reaching over to turn on a turn signal while using the front brake and blipping the throttle in downshifts? But that's just me, Ive owned a Harley, kept it 3 months, wasn't for me.
Wonder how you change the oil if no pan?? I also every chance I get to do demo rides , just to see what is on the other side of the fence from Harley . Looked like a very nice bike HDR...just not crazy how the handlebar placement looks.
I was exited about this bike when it was announced, but the more I see and read about them less they are doing it for me. I know 4 or 5 years down the road I'm going to have to replace the Vic so I always have my eye out for what could be next.
Wives are never happy with the new bike idea......But I'm sure in the back of their mind, they know there is not much they can do about keeping boys from their toys... I will admit my wife does keep me from doing stupid things, like making "impulse" buys ....but when its time for another bike or even a second, I am making that decision.

This bike is not 1300cc. It is 1854cc with 126 ft lbs. of torque. The problem is that the motor only puts out 76hp as opposed to the other big bikes that put out more than 100hp. If you want to pull a trailer or fully load up. Look elsewhere.

Only two colors to choose from. Good thing I'm a painter. Its the first mod I'll do. Thinking dark toxic green. If you are going from a boxer engine to the Yamaha you will notice a small engine vibration. Not annoying it's just there. I didnt feel this on the harley unless at a stop.
