1:42 - i actually joined the journaling community as a "watcher" during this time so I remember it perfectly 2:42 - also agree that for my planner specifically, I just need it to function. my journals is where I can go crazy with all the creativity and such but my planner is more a place where i'd like some structure to stat with so that its easier 7:36 - actually I WOULD like to be here all day haha
I absolutely would love to see a full walk through of your bujo. They are my favorite videos to watch. I have about twelve journals for this year. 😂 I have two bujos. They aren’t creative at all. Just notes and thoughts with trackers. But one is an A6 hobo. I’m surprised how well it works.
If you didn’t want to read the book- at least spend some time looking at some blog posts that sum it up. I think all the collections (like you’re making) and fancy looking pages can lead to overwhelm and difficulty finding things - like you’ve already experienced. Finding a couple of basic explanations might help you. Also, you’ll notice there are people who bullet journal is many different styles of notebooks- some opt for using hobonichi as a framework so they don’t have to draw out calendars/weeks. I could see how that would get exhausting.
I'm very familiar with all the various options and the reasons behind them. I just have trouble deciding what will actually help me! I think I'm getting there. :)
It may sound like an absolutely silly question, have ever watched his YT? You’re processing your system second hand. Yes, reading his book will allow you to create a mind map for clearer directions.
My brain doesn't work like other brains. Lol. I have to do everything myself (arrive at it myself) or it doesn't stick. I can't do something just because someone else says it works. My system is working great for me right now, it may change, and then I'll figure that out too. :) By "his YT" are you talking about Ryder Carroll? Yes, I think so? but like I said, I have to do things my way.
I have not been able to get to this video until now and I was going mad hahaha but I'm here now and excited to see :DDDD
And here I am just getting to comments. :)

I'm glad it's working for you! It's so nice to find what works.
I’d highly recommend the Bullet Journal Method as Carrol (sp?) has some pretty profound things to say about goals, time, etc.
I'll check it out eventually. :)
I love seeing your old journals (and all your journals, honestly). It would make my life to see a video on your writer’s TN ❤
I'll try to do that soon! :)
As you go you can weed out the spreads you don’t need. Love bulletin journaling for that. I love Ryder’s book.
I'll have to check out that book eventually!
