These are the 2 distortion pedals i have with a noise gate too. Got to say as much as i like the digitech death metal the metal zone is so much better. So much more tunable and the ddm just makes noise
why mids is down the souns is more heavy, more comprimed, when you are in live show need mids for people can hear you. More mids is more british sound, less mids is more American sound
@@dracksterguitar102 more heavy?))) i guess the heaviest guitar sound is on sleep's dopesmoker, full mids there. And its totaly American))) Less freq, less full the sound is, and less heavy i think.
@@yarick666 I think it's phase of almost all metal guitarists, to scoop mids. I used to do this too. Also I'm doing remixes of my favourite metal songs for year now and on this way I understood that scooping mids sound flat and less louder, so I started to love mids and when guitar sounds big. Carcass heartwork tone for example. I know theres 4 guitar tracks, but each of them sounds big too.
I always found, complement ANY "Metal Pedal" with a Noise Gate, 7--Band EQ and even a Compressor and you can take any dirt box to the next level. Just sayin'. ...cheers. Long Live Metal.
@@saturdaymorningco I personally use it BEFORE the Overdrive/Dist or if you are Not using a dirt pedal, early in the chain into the amp. You can then put your Mod's, and Delay Reverbs after the compressor or in the FX loop if you got one. Consider it a clean boost. Start with everything set at 50%,, 12 o'clock high noon setting and go from there.
@@saturdaymorningco Expected benefits?.... A lot of guys find things like tapping and sweeping easier because everything is so uniform. Certainly it changes the "feel" that a lot of players like.(Country Chicken pickers secret weapons for decades)...It also keeps the volume on your riffing chops even, excellent for recording. Have fun with compressors!!!
@@saturdaymorningco Haha...You are welcome. Never forget that the playin g part is the most important. I am such a gear head, sometime's I am guilty of "option analysis paralysis"....But man, is it fun to tinker and experiment with sound. Compression is one of those subtle things like EQ or Noise Gate that you just can't live without. Cheers.
I like them both. They each have slightly different Metal textures which are both good. This is a good example of a proper video pedal comparison; -Cut the talking, Have each pedal set for their average tone, Instead of noodling with riffs or trying to flash viewers with your chops, get right to comparing pedal tones. Quick & to the point!

The death metal pedal sounds like it would be good for that old school hard core punk sound.

What combo amp do you have? Say please
Boss katan 50 mk2
Harley Benton Hb80r Eminence
marshall dsl20cr
Why everyone is turning down mids on those pedals?)) I always put them somewhere around 3-4oclock and it sounds kicks ass, specially on live gigs)

Ive never used a compressor for metal tones. Can you explain how you use it and where you place it in the chain?

Dead lbh kasar tp sustainnya lbh panjang dari MZ
Digitech is a bit more tight
É um bee zone e um death bee
Metalzone has vibrant classic metal....Death Metal has more of crunchy post modern metal
El Digitech es mucho mejor
