Great car!!! If you need to replace the rear end, a 70s or 80s Chrysler Cordoba unit is a perfect replacement. Everything bolts on. The only thing you have to do is change the gear ratio to the same ratio on the Kaiser unit. I owned a 51 Kaiser and performed this change since my rear end would lock up. These things are good to know. I love Kaisers. If you ever need parts Rudy Phillips in Ramona CA is the guy to contact. Enjoy your Kaiser guys. I hope i was of some help with this information. Do not think twice in contacting me if you need some help, Ill be glad to help.
If you find a Chrysler remember to change the ratio because the Chrysler is 2.90 to 1 and will stress the transmission too much. Good luck my friend.@@ptlfabrication569
