- Patt and I randomized our starter pokemon in Scarlet and Violet but theres a twist! We wont be able to see our starters! We choose our starters by only knowing their lowest base stat total! Love that Tobin wanted something to combat a croc and then a croc immediately pops up for him that is advantageous with the typing.
I always love the TWISTS that are implemented into these random starter team battle videos, and going by the lowest stat makes it one of the hardest methods of knowing what you're getting (unless you're super smart and know about these entire stat spreads, which is unlikely for anyone lol). But it's also interesting to note how many stat ties there are, especially noting three-way ties and that there's only a few higher than that number, which adds to the battle strats when it comes down to it. As always i love seeing every new iteration of these videos and always look forward to the next

I got a new idea!
Choose your starter, by choosing wisely ”based on what info you are allowed to know ONCE”
You will see a total of 18 Pokémons before having your team of 6.
3(starters to choose between)x6(rounds)
Here is the total 18 options:
For example
Round 1
1. Which color
2. Which region
3. Which type
Round 2
4. Which generation
5. The last move it learns
6. Highest base stat
Round 3
7. Lowest base stat
8. First console it appeared
9. Their chinese name
Round 4
10. Seeing their feet
11. Emoji describe
12. Their weight
Round 5
13. Their height
14. Pokédex entry
15. Their first letter
Round 6
16. Their last letter
17. Their ability
18. Egg group
This was just an example, but it's up to each player, when they want to know what based on the info you are allowed to know once per Pokémon!
After you used for example "their japanese name" you can't pick the same ”info choice” twice!
