IF ANYONE WANTS TO KNOW WHY AERIES ARE ASSOCIATED WITH STARS.. as you all know, Aeries are typically seen with a 4-sided star-like symbol somewhere near them, and also in the beginning of the first animation the Aeries is even depicted AS the star. Well, to answer the question we have to turn to the COS Wiki. See, you know how if you go to pictures of the creature your searching you can practically just endlessly scroll through photos, and the farther along you get the more the photos dissolve into memes, fanarts, and random pictures? See, if you scroll far enough you will come across a sketch that has a huge creature that looks akin to the Aeries or Angelic Warden. This never seen before creature is floating in space, and it reaches out, and holds a 4-sided star ( identical to the ones connected to Aeries ) and praises the star for having more intelligence than the rest claiming its intellect is far beyond anything it’s ever seen; because of this, the creature says that’ll grant the stars one true wish. The next scene of the sketch shows the very same star floating down into the land of Sonaria, and becoming the Aeries.
the creature that looked "akin to aeries or angelic warden" is actually called aephenim! although due to the creator’s wishes, aephenim was scrapped and no longer a part of the lore. in respect to the creator they replaced it with an unknown being of the void (likely not ever planned to be a playable creature)
