I did. I saw him on my recommended a long time ago. Then he started playing apex. I watched, a bit later I subbed.
I have never thought I would see the day where Punch would be playing Overwatch again

@@Tuzsuz12 To be honest, this whole game looks like a game update rather than a "new" game with a few balance changes and a change from 6v6 to 5v5.
I'm genuinely surprised they consider this a sequel.

@@konradzukowski213 well it’s because we are only playing the pvp, but I think that with the pve it will feel a lot more like a full new game. But we gotta give credit to devs with this beta, I hated the 5v5 idea and now I would never go back to 6v6 and the fact that they got everyone in (beside console, but probably be in the next beta after these 3 weeks) was really cool

After watching for only a few minutes, I have concluded that this is literally the exact same game with little to no changes. Also, good video punch.

I have barely seen any Overwatch gameplay, but I saw literally no difference except a number after the title.
pretty sure its supposed to be pretty much the same. think their main focus is going to be with their story mode and the pvp mode is just a continuation of 1

Apart from ONE new character, some reworks, and a HUD overhaul, nothing changed. It's not really worth calling it a new game.
Pve is ow2...and reworks really change the game also reworks are new heroes what do you people not get? Orissa plays 109 percent differently...Bastian plays 100 percent differently. We have 3 new heroes... the other reworks don't really change the heroes enough to consider them new heroes

@@cpenner7086 Aside from the pve comment, everything you mentioned other games do and call them patches or updates. You dont see Apex or Rainbow 6 tweak a character and come out with a new game. If you like OW2 power to you man, but no need to lie to yourself and say its a different game.

I'm glad someone agrees with me, roughly 3 years for a few character designs, a new hero, 4 new maps, and a few tweaks are not worth the wait. Although I like the reworks, I hope they already have other heroes developed, characters tweaked, live quality changes, and the beta is just a tiny proportion of what they've accomplished. If not massive L, they should have focused more on the PVP aspect of the game, and not some title no one asked for more. My expectation may seem high, but it's what I expect from a 3 (continuing) year development. After all, they did promise they were gonna release double the heroes simultaneously to compensate for the lack of updates.

While I don’t think that the talent system would work in normal modes like qp, I do hope it is implemented as an arcade mode when the full game releases.
Think of it as more Dota-like in-match progression. While I do agree this is too complicated and unnecessary for base game, it sounds like a great idea to spice things up.
@@ferdithetank7535 i miss battle born, that had to be my favorite dota first person shooter game. I wish I kept playing it so that maybe they wouldn't shut down the servers
Watching this makes me miss Overwatch. I'm worried I'll still be burnt out from it though, I played it way too much over the years lol
Never thought I'd hear Punch mention paladins but yeah I definitely agree, some more wacky changes would have been so much better
The block reduces DMG from the front by 90% and empowers the next punch when blocking enough dmg
Should still negate or at least mitigate some debuffs like Sleep imo.

I kind of like that orisa is basically the war machines that her model was supposed to be. With all the new voice lines she sounds badass
I don't know about the talents thing. I hate it in Paladins because there's three different systems for it: your cards, your talents, and your items from the shop.
It makes predicting the enemy team and their abilities nearly impossible. You might have the same hero on the enemy team, but they might do completely different things to the point that it's impossible to know how to counterplay them. And things like the cards are permanent to your character and invisible to everyone else (or at least you need to take 5 minutes to stop and read each of them).
What's nice about ability-based gameplay is that you can play around your knowledge. If you always know exactly how much damage X ability does and how long it's range is, then you can play around it. But if, in every game, that same ability now does 5% more damage or is a bit larger in range, or in the case of Paladins can even work entirely differently than usual, it's impossible to account for every little change.
I have never watched, or played Overwatch. But when watching ThatPunchKid, yes my lord.

you know what great game had a cool system for talents and upgrades during a game ? Gigantic, it was awesome but nobody played it and it died in 2018 and i'm still sad about it
I love how punch has zero understanding of the fact that doomfister is a tank hero now, and not for attack.
That's kinda dumb imo, since he clearly doesn't do that well. Also, Handsoap, Oreesa and Arya are broken.
i agree with OW2 needing to copy Paladins on the talent system, but considering OW2 still allows hero switching mid-match makes having that system a balancing nightmare

The idea behind "skill trees" that last for a match is actually good, since Overwatch already is more like 1st person MOBA than a shooter.
Although we are unlikely to see this ever implemented, I'l keep this idea for it's potential.
We talking about anime 1 or anime 2. Both have the same amount of moaning, just different context.
Problem with PvE upgrades is that its like Smash 4 custom Moves:
Its fun to use,but atrocious to fight against.
Go ahead and try to play Smash 4 against someone that know what they're doing with Tiny Mii Brawler or Hyperspeed palutena, or DK and his tornado.
Then you understand why customs didn't came back for Ultimate, and that's the same thing for OW2.
Sad, but it's for the better.
What they could do however is allowing those PvE skill trees in customs. That could be awesome.
Great video as always punch, caught this one live too so its interesting to see what clips you kept and what ended up on the cutting room floor!
But about OW2, its a shame to see its still the same game that had all of the fun drained out of it and was left behind by the majority of players. Some of those fights are painful to watch cuz no one dies and they go on and on withnothing happening and it makes me sad.
Every character just seems like a 'reduced' version of what they once were, a cool idea 'taken back a little' and with numbers filed off so no one is over powered. Its a shame that this is what most people will see of OW2, but hopefully the PVE looks more interesting when they show it off.
The cd on ball hook after respawn isn't new. It has also been in overwatch 1 for a while

If you went back to the past and asked an overwatch fan back in its prime if this was overwatch 2 or still overwatch 1 they would answer "OW got a wierd balance patch huh?"

How would talent points work in a game where you can swap Heroes midgame?

I think give every character an alt skill, except their primary and have them be interchangeable when you choose them the first time in a match
Or maybe like pre select the skills before a match in the hero menu

If this overwatch 2 the devs should give a hero with new abilities but they can choose the old abilities too.....and the fun part is that they can pick certain abilities to build NEW abilities

From what i can from the beta, this is basically a copy and paste of just the original overwatch, i dont understand why they didnt just implement these changes into the original game. i cant see this game last more than a year, and thats if the story mode is decent.

Honestly seems like this could of been an update rather than a while new game...
Idk how to feel about Overwatch 2. It looks a lot like the original with some reworked characters. Unless they bring back flexing somehow, i dont see it being too much different from overwatch 1. Most of the problems i came across in OW was teammates not holding their own or playing their role correctly. Usually one slacking teammate is enough to ruin a match and i personally hated that. I really feel flex players are important and not being able to pick up where your team is slacking is just infuriating.

Overwatch 2, at least for the multiplayer, doesnt really feel like it warranted all this time to make. Maybe PVE is insane, but this game really isnt gunna survive off of its PVE. Wish they spent more of their time on the multiplayer and not the PVE.
