This is helpful. I will try it today. I think I have kind of done this on occasion by accident.
One thing that has confused me about tennis is the words "open" and "closed" to refer to the racket. I infer from this video that open means the racket is angled facing a little more upward, whereas closed means a little more downward. I think a coaches use the words open and closed, but never explain what it means. Without some explanations, those words don't mean anything relative to a racket.

How about leading the swing with the top edge of the racket as if you will hit with the edge? That works quite well, too. You’ll be surprised you rarely hit with the edge!

One reason why 85 percent of Tour professionals use the semiwestern grip.

To watch the ball into your strings all you need to do is raise your gaze from back of the hand into the back of your racquet.
What you get is near perfect racquet angle and then near perfect racquet sweetspot contact with the ball. Don't look up over the net keep your eye on the back of the hand then the back of your racquet. You won't need to look across the net because you'll attain the flow to get the ball there without looking.
This gives less clues to your opponent. Oh one other thing you get into your opponent's head with effortless power and consistency.
    GAME ON! 👍

At lower levels you’d better look at where the ball is going because it can go anywhere 😂
