I love Drain Addict. But it is a mystery for me to judge between a good drain cleaning and a great one. Certainly over 2 million views is a good indicator. I know good cinema when I see it.

@@user-rs6ln7nc4g looks like schedule 40 pvc which is also used all the time in the US, although black corrugated hdpe (plastic) which is more flexible is also used for storm drains... either way roots are crazy strong: that pipe looks like it went right under or next to a huge tree. If they put the pipe there first, they were asking for trouble when they planted the tree, or vice versa if the pipe was installed next to a big tree. The tree could have been small and thought to be harmless and over the years kept growing. Once the pipe breaks in any spot and roots get in, it's game over. Roots could have just broke through the pipe, or a small leak due to a bad joint could have developed, the pipe leaks water, roots are attracted to water, push their way in, & you got a clog. On a side note i'm interested that it seems in Australia each home has a sanitary sewer boundary trap. We don't do that in the US. Curious why they do it over there. Looks like this is a warm area due to the water meter being above ground. The drain pipes being buried so close to the surface could have contributed to them breaking. But even in cold regions here in the US it's common to have storm sewer pipes buried close to the surface. Roots suck, & are the cause of many underground pipe clogs regardless of pipe material.

Dammmmn. Here’s a tip for all those new plumbers out there. If your doing a new job,,,,90mm stormy for down pipes only (ie. above ground).. Doesn’t matter if it’s 90mm below ground on the plan. It’s bad jo’jo and shouldn’t be buried. All below ground stormy should be 100mm dwv grade. 90mm stormy just doesn’t stand the long haul under ground. And ps. Stick to dwv for all charged lines. Keep up the good vibes Ollie ( and rattie ) Luv ya stuff🤟👍👍

Eu já teria decidido pela substituição da rede. PVC 100 mm, sujeita a continuar a invasão das raízes. Mas, a decisão foi dele e de quem o contratou. Outra, aquela emenda foi da maneira mais errada, 1/2 seção de tubo sobreposta e só. Já que escolheu usar um pedaço do tubo pra emendar, o logico é abri-lo e envolver as duas pontas a emendar e nunca como foi feito. Nota 10 para a escolha da luva (EPI) demonstra ser bem resistente, difícil de rasgar. O mesmo para a roupa, bem adequada ao tipo de trabalho, permite sentar ao chão, ajoelhar, protege bem. Aqui temos roupas assim, tanto lá como cá, o custo não deve ser baixo porém. Pra quem se interessa por qualidade de EPI, sabe que saúde não tem preço. Saúde tem custo, logo, compensa. Nota 1000 pra limpeza e reconstituição do local escavado, perfeito.
Concordo com vc substituir logo o canos deixar esse ai pra as raizes , mesmo pq esta passando debaixo da arvore vai estrangular qqr coisa que nao seja ferro , a entrada da agua la em cima tbm deveria colocar uma cx proteger entrada de sujeira um cimentado iria cair bem nessa casa Spbre ipi vc tem razao com certeza essa luva e de pano emborachada ja tive uma ganhei em um navio que trabalhei
@@TheGermanDude good question but thicker walled pipe might be a better solution. Here, the thin wall is schedule 40. Schedule 80 is what's used after the thin crap messes up.
No problem if you use proper pipes. The Swedish ones are very sturdy! The pipe used in the video looks like those used as roof drainage downpipe on like smaller sheds or something.

Outra, aquela emenda foi da maneira mais errada, 1/2 seção de tubo sobreposta e só.
Já que escolheu usar um pedaço do tubo pra emendar, o logico é abri-lo e envolver as duas pontas a emendar e nunca como foi feito.
Nota 10 para a escolha da luva (EPI) demonstra ser bem resistente, difícil de rasgar.
O mesmo para a roupa, bem adequada ao tipo de trabalho, permite sentar ao chão, ajoelhar, protege bem.
Aqui temos roupas assim, tanto lá como cá, o custo não deve ser baixo porém.
Pra quem se interessa por qualidade de EPI, sabe que saúde não tem preço.

Concordo com vc substituir logo o canos deixar esse ai pra as raizes , mesmo pq esta passando debaixo da arvore vai estrangular qqr coisa que nao seja ferro , a entrada da agua la em cima tbm deveria colocar uma cx proteger entrada de sujeira um cimentado iria cair bem nessa casa

@@TheGermanDude good question but thicker walled pipe might be a better solution. Here, the thin wall is schedule 40. Schedule 80 is what's used after the thin crap messes up.

No problem if you use proper pipes. The Swedish ones are very sturdy! The pipe used in the video looks like those used as roof drainage downpipe on like smaller sheds or something.
