That floaty feel that you have on the superglide would go away qickly if you got used to the pad, it doesn't take too long if you do pokeball tasks in aimlab/kovaaks. When I started using a skypad which is even faster I never had that floaty feel on it. But I did use a cordura pad before that and there i had that floaty feel and i did a lot of pokeball so when I switched to the skypad i instatly felt comfortable. The fact that the glide stays consistent when you apply more pressure with the mouse is the main benefit of glass imo. And also having the super low static friction on your arm when you wear a sleeve is a big benefit of glass. If you don't care about those two it doesn't really make sense to use a glass pad.
I just want to thank you for your time and effort when it comes to all your reviews. I’ve been enjoying them throughly. I find your tone and information on each product comforting and makes me want to watch the full review vs other reviewers where I find myself skipping to the “important bits”
This looks right up my alley!!! Thank you for the great review! The Kin is too slow and the Skypad has that slippery feel like you were talking about. I think grabbing this pad may be my comfortable middle ground!
Coming from a raiden mid, your description is pretty spot on. This pad was very easy to adjust to. I tried the equate+ v2 before this and while I liked the lower static friction, that pad generated too much friction with my arm, with or without a sleeve. This just feels like a marginally faster raiden mid to me but with an even more consistent base(in terms of pressure affecting glide). Your review couldn't have come out at a better time, literally came out after I noticed that this pad got stocked at the local store I usually get pads from lol
@@fiorxe Slightly less static and less kinetic friction, compared to my 8 month old raiden mid anyway. Probably would be similar to a new raiden. Just keep in mind hard pads feel subtly different overall from cloth cause they're hard. Friction just feels more consistent when you swipe faster/harder or press onto the pad.
i’m currently playing on a vancer ice v1 and i’m very interested in getting a hard pad, I’ve been looking at the cera pad kin a lot recently, for context i play apex legends only basically, but on the vancer i’ve even though i’ve been playing on it for a while it can feel really floaty at times and really slow at times, but i keep it really clean and there’s no slow spots, But looking into the kin i’m scared to pull the trigger because i’ve heard it’s snaggy and can feel slow for micro adjustments, but then with the skypad i don’t want to be missing armor swaps because of the high speed
Quick question before i pull the trigger. Does the micro adjustments feel muddy or sticky on the Empress? I find on the Cerapad Kin that the micro adjustments can almost stick making you miss the target after a small micro adjustment because you over shoot the target
i never tried glass pad and cant decide with one will be better pick. Superglide or Empress? Is empress much slower? Would I bang my head if I made a bad decision?
Do you know if it's the same as the kalei black/white skulls one? The empress design is more appealing to me but would have to consider if they're functionally different
how does this compare to the other glass pads like skypad, pulsar superglide? especially when it comes to tac shooters, do u think this is something that is alot more viable compared to the other glass pads?
If i mainly play valorant i know its prob better to get the cerapad kin but can i get away with using the empress? overall i just love the design and the micro adjustments is the main part of tac shooters so if thats fairly controlled that's good. What do you think? Also, did you find that you NEED a sleeve for the cerapad? and did it also avoid that floating feeling the other glass pads have?
This doesnt feel as floaty. Not sure if it would be my first choice for valorant but if you got used to it im sure you can make it work. You may need a sleeve just like all other glass pads if you sweat or if it is humid
@@AimAdapt yeah i just want to try a glass pad for fun and pla val. Would you say i get cerapad kin or empress given empress is faster but i love the design?
The artwork on this is absolute 🔥 I’ve spent so much on glass pads lately! Must resist…purchase 😅 I’ve the same experience while editing. I overshoot on glass pads 🤔 Awesome work Liam
This year is the year of Glass and Hard Pad, there is so many beautiful design releasing it's just insane. I have a Superglide Polarity and i love it (Conrady did a Better Job for Pulsar than for Padsmith :p)

This looks like a Reyna main mouse pad
I think its inspired by Reyna. Her ultimate is also called Empress :)
Beautiful pad, I recently got a black superglide pad and its taken my game to another level. Low sens with glass just feels right to me

I’ve been waiting for someone to cover this pad, both look great

Based on the glide test the empress seems to perform like the OG Cerapad. Maybe consider that too.
I just got mine in today and it became my new main after 1 match on OW2
This pad is beautiful, the artwork is great
Think one of these would work fine for a fps game such as Valorant or CS? And how does it compare to the Skypad 3?
Thanks for the review!
Thank you for stopping by :)
I already have a Skypad that I am very happy with but this thing is beautiful, I think you just sold me on it.

would you say it’s a lot a lot faster than a raiden? And in what way like static or dynamic

I personally love this pad it is my top 3. Maybe you could try the pulsar superglide as it is faster?

It doesnt feel muddy to me
is this a good Vancer Ice alternative?
Nice review man! 👍 I also order this version. The artwork is amazing. Can't wait to try it! 😁
I don't have a glass pad, but that design would match my keyboard and mouse and for the price it's tempting.
It’s in stock, right now

what the top 3 Glass mousepads in your opinion
Best glass mousepad?
Do you know if their other glass mouse pad has the same texture? (the design with the skulls)
its the same
Both are the STRIKER SERIES so they should be the same
would you say the kalei is similar?
It is the same thing
Do you need a sleeve with that mousepad?
I don't need one most of the time but just as with any glass pad your arm does stick in humidity
how does this compare to the Razer Atlas? which is better?
This one
@@AimAdapt which one is faster?
What’s the difference between the purple one and the new blue one?
blue one is much faster, much more like skypad 3.0
