Saw your title and thumbnail and got nervous cause all my boots are Dan Post but they're all leather soles. I have had some squeaking before though. Thanks for POSTing! No pun intended 😂
The best way to avoid hydrolysis is to wear your boots often! Never heard of a vibram sole doing this though, so it does seem to indicate inferior materials in the oem soles.
@ only pro ( I had some redwings too) is my red backs have really good grip/slip resistance vs my Wesco’s and Franks with the Vibram V100. Granted those boots are in a whole other league in terms of repair ability.
Love your work! You’ve inspired me to be a cobbler.
@@emanuelrivera2715 that’s awesome we definitely need more in the US
Better than new. I always enjoy your videos. Thanks.

@@chezcounty 🤣🤣 like I said I have no problem with Dan Post, it’s just this one sole they use absolutely sucks.
@@chezcounty the squeaking is most likely caused by a loose shank, which unfortunately can only be fixed with a resole
@@Theshoeman02 You're definitely my go to when the time comes! Merry Christmas and God bless!
@ sounds great God bless y’all to and have a merry Christmas
I have these boots, maybe a different color I haven't worn them much, but this is good to know.
@@staceylpittman532 thanks for watching! Whenever you wanna switch the soles I’m happy to help

@@iankeichi yes the OEM soles are inferior to the Vibram soles
Similar problem with the Red Wing supersole and a lot of Australian boots( Redback, Blundstone, Rossi)
@@Dukeofmamucas yes I’ve seen that with those brands as well

Nice work. I have a pair of Tony Lamas that need to be resoled. What is your typical wait time once in line?
@@MrDredgedaddy right now we are about 5-6 weeks once I get them in the shop.
