I thought that the strings sounded familiar but could never quite remember… then you pointed out the instrument and instantly I remembered where I heard a similar string: bannerlord 2 with their mongol equivalent
I always felt that gryphon should've been the start of the outlanders. That he was making a team of soldiers from around the world to fight and stop the horkos. It says he travelled the world and learnt all the fighting styles and languages (maybe not all) but wouldn't that make sense for him to be the leader of this team? Also in his lore or intro cinematic he says "I'm not a knight anymore" why are you in the knight section then? Also agree with raven about the pirate in the wu lin, zhanhu has the magic fire powder for his fire trap, would it be so wild to think the wu lin have idk gunpowder weapons?? Before the outlander were released I always thought a mongol or Korean mercenary type heroes for the wu lin would be cool. Much like how cent/glad highlander/shaman and shinobi/aramusha were originally introduced as heroes who weren't exactly part of the faction war but joined as mercenaries. The Korean and mongol could be a hybrid or assassin hero to follow that trend. It would also make sense for the wu lin as both kongol and korean soldier appeared within Chinese armies in the past
I love that idea. I always thought FH 2 should introduce 3 new factions with links to the old 3 factions: American because of Viking exploration, Middle East because of Knights (crusades) and a sort of Asian Empire because of Japanese that could have included the Rajput warrior, Mongolian, and all the Wu Lin Heroes in that faction

I was agreeing with you until you said Mongols can fit in Wu Lin? How come? They don’t speak the same language, and completely different ways of living. In fact, pirate should fit into Wu Lin as Cantonese is so similar to Chinese Mandarin yet you say she should stay in Outlanders. You can’t bring the Knight faction problem with the Wu Lin because Knights are a broad term but Wu Lin is specifically Chinese!

Regardless of what warrior the new hero is, I'm really looking forward to seeing what the devs have been cooking, specially after sohei. Now here me out, in my opinion sohei is the best character we've gotten in a while and it's not because of how good he is (and let's be real, he still needs some buffs) but because how original he is, after several years of heroes with uninspired movesets (afeera and varangian) and others that had a lot of potential but fell sort because the devs handicapped them for one reason or another (medjay and ocelotl), sohei is such a breath of fresh air. He reminds me a lot of some year 1 heroes, mainly highlander and shinobi, that back then were so bad competitively but so much fun and unique, so I really hope they surprise us with another hero with a unique mechanic rather than a boring meta hero, because I don't care what the community says, I rather have a unique hero with subpar gameplay than a super efficient and effective hero with recicle mechanics and the same hiper competitive moveset.

I noticed in some of the Flavor text for orders concerning Zhi that it said he was mentioning a name "...Jin, soon." Although it's just the end of the name I think it's another clue towards the next character as well.
“She” is going to have some forgotten unused weapon form some distant land, have 3 pin moves that all do 30 damage, un dodgeable lights, a all guard by holding her hand up and chanting, and if you bash, hit, or GB her she will instantly get 50ms hyper armor and knock everyone back by screaming, she will have a GB that throws thirty feet and knocks you down for 800ms Her feet’s will all ideal 50 damage and pin you for everyone to hit you. That’s all they have done so far

This is probably the easiest hero weve been able to gather clues for lol the throat singing and instrumentals are just too obvious. Im excited for it. Probably going to be another gimmick hero like sohei but lets face it, its year 8… we need anything to keep this game cranking. Also side note raven, i really wish you showed the overtone singing part of throat singing, its this double note whistle that sounds awesome. Im still practicing it.
Next year the faction war will be possibly reworked. Horkos vs Chimera vs New faction , and better rewards after the end of the season like unique ornaments, etc.

YESSSSS I NEED ME SOME LU BU but if anyone had a Dynasty warriors hero skin or anyone else from Chinese history it should be Guan Yu for JJ a male Zhao Yun skin could work for Nobu because they did it For PK with Ezio or maybe Yukimora Sanada considering he's japanese but a Lu Bu inspired character absolutely needs to be it's own thing it wouldn't work as a skin in my opinion and imagine a effect or Signature victory screen while he's riding Red Hair or something too that would be cool

I honestly would like a Mongol Hero but knowing Mongols and their popular use of Bows, I can already see the strong ranged bow feats and possibly some stamina feats to have a nod to their horseback history (horses have decent stamina).
I'm personally on team "Already working with General Zhi" personally. Perhaps how the Serpent Sword properly is that when the sword is given, the Mongol hunts down the one with wielding the blade, with the shiny sword being quite the marker. I'm mostly thinking this because I don't want Zhi to lose and they didn't have the hero kin and new hero fighting each other there so I like to think that'll happen here too.......mostly because if Zhi loses then that'll be much less interesting to me, more so with Astrea getting 'Outlander ex Machina' again. Last time being pirate

13:00 100% agree, A Mongalian Warrior would have better within the Wulin than the Outlander, and so was the Pirate. After all Hight lander is a viking, and Cent/glad are knight. But Ubisoft don't want make Wu lin ~~
I think the issue between Wu Lin, Pirate and the upcoming Mongolian Hero is a Chinese inclusion issue. Like, Pirate was supposed to be a Wu Lin but being Cantonese didn't sit right with them (Wu Lin speak Mandarin) and the upcoming Mongolian gal is... Well, Mongolian.
Tis good to see, maybe, a Mongolian Hero but I'm kinda sad that it isn't one of my ancestors, a Native warrior. Sure there are many warriors among the Native Americans to choose from but I keep hoping that maybe I'll get to see one some day.
I'm willing too guess it's a maybe 25 chance monger mama could be not genderlocked so it might be and that's my guess I can also assume some of the feats could be scout like so a rotational scout character maybe she or he or he she could have the falcon being a constant seeker my guessing
I would really like the hero to not be gender lock for we haven't seen one of those in a while also if its gonna be a hybrid (since all outlander are hybrid) I just hope it can be a mixture of assassins and vanguard or just assassins.
It would make no sense since Mongols and the dynasties did not like each other very much, to throw a Mongolian into the Wu Lin would be a slap to both parties faces.

I want a Mongol Hero since the release, but I will be disapointed if the Hero is female genderlocked, I mean yea it would make sense because female Mongols were warriors too but i really hoped to see a Subutay, Baycu, Ögedai based Hero

I think the issue between Wu Lin, Pirate and the upcoming Mongolian Hero is a Chinese inclusion issue.
Like, Pirate was supposed to be a Wu Lin but being Cantonese didn't sit right with them (Wu Lin speak Mandarin) and the upcoming Mongolian gal is... Well, Mongolian.

Tis good to see, maybe, a Mongolian Hero but I'm kinda sad that it isn't one of my ancestors, a Native warrior. Sure there are many warriors among the Native Americans to choose from but I keep hoping that maybe I'll get to see one some day.

I would really like the hero to not be gender lock for we haven't seen one of those in a while also if its gonna be a hybrid (since all outlander are hybrid) I just hope it can be a mixture of assassins and vanguard or just assassins.

It would make no sense since Mongols and the dynasties did not like each other very much, to throw a Mongolian into the Wu Lin would be a slap to both parties faces.
