    Been following resellers and came across your channel. You've got great content. I started an ebay account last Sunday, only had 7 items listed and got my first sale today. I'm trying to source more items to list 5 a day. Thanks for the inspiration.

    Hey Mike, Happy to see you are still doing good. I have taken, as I will say, the 2nd step gettingvready to sell on ebay. I registered my name on ebay this week. I will buy a few things I need, get together some items to sell and, start selling. So, a couple more steps to go. I feel nervous/happy but real goid about it so far. You are 1 of a few that has inspired me to go for it. Thank you. I will keep watching.

    Thanks for the Joann Fabric suggestion. I pick up fanfold pink insulation product from HD or Lowe’s to create additional “walls” in a box. I don’t “recycle” shipping boxes as I encountered a few years ago, denied insurance claim. One of reason for the denial was that I used an old “recycled” shipping box. The other reason was that there wasn’t 2” of packing material surrounding the item.

      Yes, they can deny claims. I had good success on claims. I don't have many.

    I received two of those Walking Dead compendiums (volume 2&3) for free. The profit on Amazon is about $12.50 each. I knew I could make about twice as much on EBay. I’m listing them later today….

      Yes, some things are much more profitable on Ebay. Thanks for watching.

    Is savers the equivalent to a Ollie's? I'm on the East Coast I don't believe we have savers

    • @goldenstatepicker
      @goldenstatepicker  9 месяцев назад +1

      Not the same. Savers is strictly donations of used home goods.

    I do ALL pre boxing even smalls with calculated shipping. I pay very little for my items so Ebay, Mercari, and the USPS can't over charge me on my measurements.
    It is getting harder and harder to keep up with the rising costs.
    Thank you Mike!
    Blessings.
    K.T.

    Great find on the pyrex. Successful pickers look beyond their favorite category and find and flip a lot more stuff. Your "edge" comes from knowing more than the person doing the pricing. Books are the one category where I will sell for $10 or less. First, I typically pay 25 cents for a paperback, so 40X is pretty decent! Secondly, they are super easy to ship. I will often put books together in a lot, so maybe I'll get $25 for 5 or even 10 books. Even 10, if I paid 25 cents each, thats a nice 10X margin. I did buy 100 prepper books for 10 cents each. Nice margin on those!

      If I had the space I could really up my book game. Only have so much space and I'm happy doing what I'm doing.

    Your Savers is good still. Ours used to be good down here, but it's burnt now. I don't know what the reason is, if it is resellers or if it is that the good inventory is not hitting the floor.

    When I ship board games, I stack two 12x8x10 boxes on top of each other with the game in the middle. You can close the flaps of the inner box to hold the game in place. Stuff some wadded up paper in there, close, tape and you're done.

    Great video, preparing a great idea. I started doing a long time ago. After I sold some book to Canada from Australia. I could not get under the 2kgs. The guy at the post office said just rip a couple pages out one of the books. It was very annoying I still made a profit but only five dollars. To see profits going to post office for few grams in weight. As I had to paid for higher postage I wrapped with extra protection. Did Ur team win the football? I hear there is couple Australian teams going to play in Las Vegas in March. A team from my city. You should check it out. Cheers Graham.
