Love how you guys understood the magnitude and appreciated this S3 ending properly! Basically everyone else was like 'they can see the sea! ok cool... next!' ...It's a damn beautiful, bittersweet moment and one of the best endings to any season of anything ever. :D Love you guys! everytime i see them reaching the sea, i tear up because they all get to see the sea, but to Eren- they still arent free, infact, they are less free than before. so im glad to see that you guys feel that too, and understand what that means to Eren. best reaction channel tbh haha
I can't think of any other story where the moment of characters reaching "the sea" (or some sort of promised place) was as impactful for me. It gets me even harder with rewatching.
Wonderful reaction and discussion ^^ you really understood the real issues and stakes the show will tackle in S4 and the characters I love those final episodes of S3 and S4 the most bc of how real it is, everything can be translated in our real world and bc it is real it's very difficult to say "Here is the solution", bc if we knew the answer our world would be peaceful already, but that's definitely not the case... I love how you're seeing and understanding different POVs it will be very interesting in future discussions I saw many times people in comment sections saying that 'this is just a show' and sharing the most unhinged opinions on the events of S4...maybe some of them just like to be edgy bc the comments are anonymous anyway, but for the most part it scares me to think that some of those people are living around me IRL 😅😅it makes me afraid of our future but still I love when media makes you reflect in depth about our world and how we interact and treat one another...I like your channel bc you clearly have the same approach 🥰🥰👍👍
So well said. The show got too realistic, and it's definitely difficult to say what's the right thing to do. Storytelling making us reflect about our world is what makes it beautiful and also powerful.
The way I interpret Eren in this episode and future episodes. Is that he has had a severe mental break on top of his trauma for everything he's been through already, and it remains untreated. And it's also sad to think about, but this is the last episode that we see one of his hopeful smiles. Other than in flashbacks, this is the last we see him smile and have any form of hope in his eyes. ( Oops, pretty much repeated myself there.) I also love that you guys have been pretty sympathetic/empathic and understanding of Eren throughout the series, and I hope that it remains intact to the end. You are one of the few who do and don't hate on him. Not going deny that S4 Eren makes it hard though.
The sad part of all this is that without us realizing it this was the last episode animated by Wit Studio before they left the project due to lack of time. It is here when mappa takes the baton for the path of what will be the fourth and final season of this story and THIS IS JUST MY OPINION, studio mappa is fine but they does not perform the titanic task never better said, of animating this series with the super highest quality with which Wit Studio made. That's why for me this chapter is even sadder than it is, because those people who gave the identity of AoT and made it what it is today abandoned it at that very moment without our knowing. By the way, in the credits scene there are images drawn by Wit Studio of what would have been the last season animated by them. Btw to me, the soundtrack of the credits scene reflects the sadness that Wit's entire team feels at having to say goodbye without having been able to finish what they started.
An end of an era yes, but I see it in a different light with regard to Studio. Wit Studio version is majorly perspective of Paradis n Eren. With final season, the perspective is from Marley n outside world, so a change of studio fits.

It's good to hear someone understand Floch perspective.He is rational, he did had his point of view. He is one of my favourite characters
