Just bought a 70 Camaro RS and it didn’t have the license plate lights but had new ones in laying in the trunk and I was wondering how it went together and you saved the day… thanks for the video!!!
Great looking car . I just put these in my car . The four tabs should be bent in after you installed the lenses and gaskets prior to putting them in your car . This holds them in place and doesn’t let the gasket fall out . Keep the videos coming, I love to watch them
If youre worried about leaks and water I recommend heading over to an autoparts store and picking up a sheet of gasket material that you can cut custom shapes from. Usually they should have a few different materials and thickness available and some stores even got the God almighty variaty pack.
if the bulbs are friction fit and can be removed without removing the housing; why not put a very thin coat of gasket sealer on both sides of the foam to seal it?
Wouldn't Diode Dynamics have LED bulbs for this? I think I would paint the heads of those screws then use some nylon washers. What about powder coating all the fasteners that you can see from the outside like that?
I have a question for you you know your way around gen6 like no other. My 2016 ss, spent 2 months at dealer getting top end rebuilt because at 50k miles there was a terrible knock in engine, they didn’t replace engine because there was no scorching by pistons they did exhaust manifold, pushrods , valves and other stuff well when i got my car back after first 20 minute drive it began to struggle to turn on but it turned on after the first week it became almost a miracle it was turning on and day after that when the car was warm it wouldn’t turn on , next day car didn’t turn on while trying to start i got a burning smell and my dad while looking under hood while i tired to start it he said he saw sparks coming from Side of the block, fast forward they towed it in to dealer and now their saying none of the computers communicate and it seems there are welding/burn marks at the rear of engine . I don’t know what to do because i didn’t do anything to my car and i know if it’s expensive they won’t want to be responsible for it.
LethalGarage how would i go about proving that since the car is back in their possession and even tried to get me mixed up when they called me saying “ oh you said you had work done on your car recently right? Because it seems they forgot to disconnect batteries when welding” when only work car has had done this year has been with them” and car only has drive train warranty left which expires this upcoming holiday weekend .
LethalGarage yeah when they towed it in they tell me it’s 200 to check it out and if it’s a mistake on their part it’ll be covered and then they took 2 weeks to get it in two same tech who did the engine work i made it clear it’s my only way of transport and once he checked it they made me approve another 3 hours to further inspect it because none of the computers were having communication in the vehicle and i made it clear when it decided to not start anymore my dad was looking under the hood and he saw the sparks coming from side of the engine and told them my car never had any issue starting and they said well. It does now so we need to cover our techs time to figure out what happened. I’ve had nothing but bad experiences with different Chevy service locations last year while it was under the bumper to bumper the car had messed up control arms and they told me it was perfectly fine i went and bought the parts oem and brought them the messed up parts to prove a point and they told ok what do you want a party? Our tech says they were within normal wear but were clearly messed up.
LethalGarage i think the new lawsuit might pertain to my car. It’s still in dealer and they tried to hit me with an excuse that it was caused by tapped wires from the battery from welding done to car recent i told them that any work was done by Chevy 3 years ago when repairing a crash the vehicle got into and it’s odd that this issue comes up 3 years later after they touch it. And I’ve been carless for a month now
Yes I am aware of the cut and buff still needing to be done on the back side of the car :)

Try Camaro Central they have parts that are hard to find. They also have kits like emblem kits and interior kits.
tim whaley yeah, I have snagged some of their parts. The old original stuff is pretty ruff.

Those screws in that kit are way longer than the ones on my car! Mine are probably half that length.
