Hi Jo, I found you on You Tube a couple of weeks ago. I'm amazed at what you put through the orifice of your spinning wheel! What is the brand of spinning wheel that you are using in this video? I recently got hold of a vintage Ashford wheel but the orifice is not big enough to do beehives. I originally got into spinning 45 years ago at high school and learnt to spin with raw fleece. Looking forward to more amazing videos. Have been going through your past ones. Cheers Cris

This wheel is a Majorcraft rose and all my earlier videos I used an ashford traditional Travelor wheel for all my art yarns and I made the most beautiful beehive and thick n thin yarns on it. Normal sized orifice too. You just need to halve the sectiions for the beehive as you would for the thicker section. You will make much smaller slim slub / beehive yarns as you don't have a large hole for the traditional. However you can purchase a jumbo flyer and bobbins for that wheel if you choose to make fat yarn later on.
