Cherry MX browns are good they just require small upgrade. You need swap stem, spring, and bottom housing. And ofc lube it. You can keep top housing tho 😄

Now I know why the "Höllenmaschine" always comes with Cherry Keyboards.
The MX Browns just need to be relabeled as a "light tactile." Before you know it, Gateron and Kailh would start making light tactiles of their own. It would cater to a specific set of people that like tactile switches, but don't like the aggressive tactility.
they could either be labeled light tactile or scratch linears
there are plenty of light tactiles on the market. in my experience mx browns have the biggest bump out of all light tactiles
Ive bought all normal mx switches to just test them because i only ha silvers. I like the browns. Thyre not bad but i would still go for clears or blacks. And if you wan annoy everyone but be diffrent just get mx greens. Blues but heavier.

My G83 keyboard has written "Made in Germany" on the lower side and "ZF Friedrichshafen AG" for whatever reason. I'd connect ZF that to vehicle transmissions. Sometimes relationships between companies are strange.

Bro really went to germany to get 1 switch
Put an MX Brown stem inside a Boba housing. Scratch problems and tactility problems solved, it stops being scratchy and the tactile bump is quite sharp and short, but definitely there.
Doesn’t even have to be a boba housing, basically any tactile housing that isn’t Cherry
