And how many of those "illegal" street vendors have more than $1,900 US Dollars to pay a monthly rental fee for those "precious" spots on the street? None, we'll wager! These people are barely surviving hand-to-mouth every day! Your Stupid New Governor is a greedy lowlife politician, who cares naught for anyone but his own backside! He's doing this for a political reason, & doesn't give a damn about those vendors, or even those store owners, who, by the way, greatly benefit from those street vendors in front of their shops. Bangkok needs to get rid of it's corrupt politicians, & install honest, morally sound, & humane people in positions of authority. Then, & only then, will everyone reap the rewards every citizen deserves!
@@kyriealorabarrett5428 sorry but i beg to differ. Bangkok is on it's way to modernization, i believe the governor is doing their job to improve the city's image. Rather than condoning the culture that they bribe the officers every month (to let them use the spot illegally), i think it is much better to relocate them in a new place. Difficulties of life doesn't justify their right to do business at a spot that doesn't belong to them. I'm a Malaysian btw, not a Thai. I really hope there will be a good ending for all party 😊

No one, not even someone in authority, has the right to enforce their will on others, and the governor of Bangkok is doing just that. He is similar to Donald Trump, who is nothing more than a bully and a Mob Boss. We need much, much less of that type of person and much, much more Humanity in this World. Modernizing any area is a poor excuse for hurting people and must not be tolerated! We totally disagree with you!

I guess if someone wants to book that "hot-spot" below a MRT station, he/she must prove that they are worthy of it. If they need help in their life, then there are charity organizations. In Malaysia we too have many illegal stalls bucked up below the MRT stations. It is not only causing pedestrian lane jammed but also underlying hygienic problems. Our administration is doing good job relocating them (instead of booting them away). Modernization brings more equality to human beings. If we let random vendors occupy that area then for sure other vendors will as well lose their rights & opportunities. There are many more vendors who need help not just Puy. I hope it clarifies ... Just because something has the facade of a particular term doesn't mean it truly is underneath said facade. If you research the various cultures, societies, and alleged "modern" societies around the globe, you'll find tremendous amounts of inequities. Proving that a "modern" society can be filled with evils, inequities, one-upmanship, and corruption that never occurred in so called "primitive" societies. So, in light of your belief that a modern society equates to a Fair and Equal One For All, we know that it is far from equal and very, very far from fair. And, finally, please stop the condescension! Why is there so many diffrent channel names covering this case? I am a member on the street food journey some did covering this case first. Seems a bit odd when with this channel is the third channel some covering this pancake lady. On the first channel street food journey I did send her 1.499 thb..so my point is why so many channels that is confusing members from the first channel.
