  • Graduation cap decorating is a bit of a new trend. Many people use stickers or print pictures and glue them to their cap, but I decided to be a bit more creative and paint mine. I chose a quote from my university's fight song and decorated the edges with a floral design. Check out this video to see how I did it. I hope you enjoy it!

    How did you print on the card stock? Can you explain how you did the wording more? Like where you got the font from and how you made it centered

    Awwww I love this! I just saw you on Justin's channel and I'm glad I did. For my grad cap, I used a Gilmore Girls quote and did a whole theme with that.

    Did you seal it with anything or just painted it? I'm looking for a clear coat for mine but don't want it to get messed up

      I used an exacto knife. It’s an arts and crafts tool designed specifically for that you can find them at any craft store. Good luck!

    Did you prime the cap? If not, did you notice the fabric soaked up the paint?? Thank u! Looks beautiful i want to do flowers on the edges as well :)

    • @Larissamcooper
      @Larissamcooper  6 лет назад +7

      Miryam Cruz I did not prime it! The fabric did soak up the brighter / lighter colors like the pink and yellow but I just went over them again and that brought the brightness back!

      I just printed it out larger and larger until it was the size I wanted in relation to the cap. Depends on how many words you have

      Maritza de la fuente I love this question! I thought it looked great in photos, the thumbnail of this video was from graduation day. But if you’re looking for something that really stands out then I’d suggest colored paper, fake flowers etc. Hope that helps!

    I'd love to paint my cap but our dumb high school has to have a weird light-ish blue for our cap and gown with _hideous_ grey accents. I dont even know what is with the color they chose... our main color is _royal_ blue.
