#ATEEZ #ILLUSION #THEORY
That actually makes a lot of sense! At the end of the MV, Hongjoong says, "Open your eyes". I didn't think it would be more deep than that. Dayum
ZephraJack yes, at first You can't notice all the details, but all of their MV have a lot of symbols 🙆
@@ateezfan Please make new theory videos! You're really good! Also, you got a new subscriber ❤️
ZephraJack thank You very much for your support ❤I have another theory video about "Say my name" If You haven't seen it yet. I want to make another one about "Wave", but in that one, just the lyrics have a hidden meaning, the MV not so much.
@@ateezfan I saw the say my name one before illusion. I loved it! I also thought that theory was spot on! I can't wait for the 'Wave' theory 😁🙏
ZephraJack You give me a reason to make it faster :)) ❤
I believe the bad guy they saw & are running away from is Seonghwa's alter ego.....
One thing I'm still curious about is how the end of this video leads into wave and it shows the members sleeping in different places (alone or together) & only thing is that you don't see Wooyoung anywhere.... & In the beginning of wave they're all waking up except once again you don't see Wooyoung waking up he just comes out of nowhere......
Idk this theory helped me a little, I'm just still stuck with the ending.
Jess Guz your point is very good! But I think that the bad guy is WooYoung alter ego. You also said the WooYoung didn't "wake up" in Wave. Also, If You remember the end of Hala hala, he is the only one that didn't "kill himself".
ateezfan
Oh, I think the bad guy is actually San, I actually wrote a whole reason for it in another comment I posted. Basically it’s because I’m SMN, it was SAN’s alter ego that was won over by san’s true self (the whole miror scene and everything)
there was a really great theory i saw on the smn mv. it was originally from twitter tho
edit: also! it was sort of the opposite of this, in how the illusion mv ateez were the fake (alter ego) ateez and they were trying to fool us. however i do see this theory better except for the ending. this twitter theory also mentioned how that alter ego/ "fake" ateez member at the end was from the future trying to help them. and i see that because in the end they are running towards him instead of away!
ok i just reread it again and now im not sure 🤡 this is why i stay away from theories lmaooo
mobile.twitter.com/atwoosan/status/1211193461942235137?s=20
Jess Guz I think that they wake up from illusion in wave mv but wooyoung has never fallen into the illusion bc he didn’t overcome his alter ego and his alter ego is still following him but idk man
Pei-Yue van Lookeren just check out ateezfan's treasure era explained video! and ofc all the other videos on this channwl
If their mv's hold this much info ready imagine future releases? I'm so eXciTeD!!!!!!😆
Y'all seen my lines? Omg, yeah, I am also very excited about their comeback!
Came from the future and man we saw nothing yet
yeah lol
First, for my theory to make sense, I’ll try to explain what I actually think the alter ego is, essentially. I think their alter ego persona is actually their past, dark and evil selves. The ‘weak outfits’ in Say My Name represent who they truly are inside, their soul if you must. And the ‘take over the world’ outfits are who they are in ATEEZ, AS ATEEZ.
The alter egos represent when they were not themselves, the personas that buried or forcefully hid their raw selves. Either that or the alter egos where what they were like when they tried to find their true raw selves. Initially, the guys were in their alter ego states, a state of confusion and negativity. This caused them to make wrong choices and do wrong things that their true selves would not have wanted them to do. Then after a certain realisation that happens at the end of Illusion, their raw selves manage to demolish their alter ego, because they have finally been able to find their selves, their identity. Then later on they build their raw individual selves into their ATEEZ personalities through friendship and time together. Like you said before, they aren’t ATEEZ until they are all together as a team.
I don’t know if this is exactly what you meant, but I believe this illusion is what their negative alter egos thought they were doing. Whatever the alter egos were doing, in our perspective it would be bad, but to them, they’d think they’re doing the right thing.
Hence the frog in the well. The alter egos are stuck in their little well that makes them think they’re doing something good, because most bad people or villains, like Thanos for example, think they are doing something good, when in reality they aren’t.
The alter ego’s right is the society’s wrong and vice versa. So at the end, they ‘wake up’ from their illusion when they finally see what exactly they are doing. They finally step out of the well. The whole illusion is stripped and they see their alter egos for who they are.
This correlates with the time where they transform from their blind alter egos to who they really are in the Say My Name MV.
If you ask me, I think Say My Name and Illusion are describing the same process or events from different personality perspectives. The alter ego’s don’t make a comeback or redirect themselves after they die in SMN, these two MV’d take place at the same time. They are just stories told in different perspectives.
For Say My Name, it would be in the perspective of the person who they really are, which you explained as the ‘weak outfits’ more than weak, I believe they are the raw and true selves. The ‘take over the world’ outfits are their personas as ATEEZ, which is just a stronger and polished version of their raw selves, that’s why their outfits aren’t actually too different from each other. It’s because ATEEZ is who they are. Together all 8 makes 1 team.
Illusion on the other hand is the same process that happened in Say My Name, but in the alter ego’s perspectives. The ending of SMN shows their raw selves winning over the alter egos, but how did it happen? It happened when their raw selves pulled their alter egos out of their illusion by showing the what they were actually doing and why it was wrong. That why in the end of illusion they saw someone’s alter ego( probably san’s because that’s what we saw in SMN MV.).
The story portrays a battle, and these two MV’s were just the same battle told through two different perspectives.
You are an actual intellectual like I read the lyrics while watching the music video but I always get caught up in the song and start singing/rapping along 😂😂😂 Anyways I’m too lazy too get off my ass and try and figure out the whole MV and lyrics
福村Emilie Thank you very much, I took me some time to came up with this theory ❤️
the only question i have is
why do i feel like crying when watching these anbsajsbandjks
Lmao... As being the Childish Atiny, I always thought Illusion had a Peter Pan story to it as the ship also floats in the movie and Hongjoong's stage name was almost "Pan" as in Peter Pan. 😂
My opinion on 'let me free' is that rather than their alter egos wanting to be free.. it's the real ateez members whose subconscious minds are telling them to wake up form the illusion.
But , at the end when they saw their alter. Ego at the end of the tunnel they finally realised it's an illusion because success can't be there as long as their is dispute between ateez and their ego( as long as they wear a mask, which is removed in answer mv) at the end when they wake up at different places (leading to wave mv) the fact that they were together in their dream (the illusion) but not when they woke up proves them that it was really their alter ego creating an illusion.
This is what I thought..
Also in the mini album the song that comes in between illusion and wave is crescent, and the only thing said is "open your eyes" as I wake up from the illusion and then wave starts and they all wake up and realize that they still have a long way to go and they still have obstacles like waves.
They also have this "Open Your Eyes" thing going on ever since their debut, but i'm not sure how it blends with all
edit: also notice how wooyoung is right after the shot of the alter ego's mask and he is upside down for the glass ball. This is for your "is wooyound the evil in ateez vids"
edit 2: in 6:36 notice how Woo is a couple of steps forward of the rest... it might be a coincidence but who knows?
Omg, if you slow the part at 6:36 you can clearly see that Wooyoung is in front and the rest in the back... you have good eyes for this type of things.. also i think only 7 of them at running to the escape, Wooyoung might be missing.
Nothing is a coincidence in kpop , like for real.
I am from the future, in their lore the theme of "open your eyes" both physically and a metaphor for "see the truth" is still here😮
And I thought illusion was simply a fun song, I'm too dumb for kpop lol
Oof thank you so much! I love your explanations! They're not too long and boring nor too shallow and incomplete 💜
Seonghwa is God OMG, I have no words to explain how happy You made me with this comment! Thank You very much! ❤❤❤❤❤
i feel like this mv is related to pirate king because on the black board 2018.10.24 is written which is the date pirate king was released and in one of the scene you can see yunho jongho and yeosang pointing at morocco and also 2018 is written on jongho's jacket when this mv was actually released in 2019 and ateez also mentioned about it being in a parallel world so illusion and pirate king could be in two parallel worlds
guys in the end they are all like asleep or in a illusion IN WAVE they are in the same position
Awesome explanations I was casually listening to the music didn't know they were so deep
i even noticed the hat of their alter egos and also i noticed the tags and a door knob kind of thing which was also there in smn
And now he find out that their "alter egos", are them from another dimension...
Also, don't forget the black hat at 5:57
In my opinion, the illusion is a representation of how they succeeded and so unbelievable they find it, that they suggest it is an illusion, where all their dreams came true and they can "party night and day".
At the end, they find their extraordinary success scary, and they leave the "treasure land" where they had been so excited. They run towards freedom, going away from popularity, which is not their treasure anymore. (All of their songs represent the highest goal of one's life as treasure)
Now the only thing they want is having fun, they get free which is depicted by wave summer vibe.
Hope you liked my theory.
Yours was fascinating as well!
P. S.: my theory about the 'alter ego ' of say my name is he is the "separating line" between their dreams and their freedom.
Have a nice day!😊
so in the last few days i have been getting ideas. and the other day i watched wave and then illusion, and i had a sudden idea for a book. i wasn't really sure who my villains could be or what conflict i was going to throw ateez into... so thank you for my new idea of their alter egos being my villains and creating the conflict !! XD
Now I know why that song makes me feel nostalgic as I'm living in a beautiful dream
That shit left me shooked
5:11 AND WHY THE FUCK IS WOOYOUNG MAKING FIRE
I might be wrong but at 6:00 if you pause, you can see a black hat in the box on the right side. it could be the hat from the alter egos or it could just be a pirate hat. idk
intellect, honestly.
Dongpyo’s Voice OMG, thank youuu ❤❤❤
The egos in answer? The only thing the egos aren't wearing are the masks, but have the hats and some nifty clothes. But who could be in the white at the end of the answer mv? Also in outro long journey. Sans evil laugh in the end after he said can you hear those voices? Through the roaring winds continue to blow, it will not stop us (is he talking about the egos fighting) we are the history and we will be the one. Can you hear those voices? I'm not sure
Interesting analysis. Thanks for sharing. I had a different take on the ending. So in order to escape the bad guy.. they run in the direction of the bad guy? I don't think so. I think they were oblivious and never saw the masked man. This is them ignoring their shadow side/alter ego. Being young and juvenile.
omg thanks for explain now everything is clearer :D
Neesha jjang 🙆🙏 be sure to watch my other theory videos to understand the whole story 👌❤
@@ateezfan thankyou i'll do for sure i'm so into them now
I got goosebumps😳
subscribed ;) also i’m excited for the comeback today!!
thank you very much! ^^
That's why they published those 2 mvs at the same time and let people choose..........
I totally didnt see the bad guy in the tunnel.
I havent seen a lot of things............
Thanks.
I am glad You liked it! ❤
@@ateezfan Thank you for your effort.
Thank you so much it's so clear 😭😭
Yona Durandal omg, thank you very much for watching ❤️ I plan to make other explanations for Ateez videos
Also there was another ship and the ship is trying to stealing the treasure
My brain hurts, too much thinking😂
Irena Kurtinova i know, right? :))
ateezfan yes, but I really liked the explanation for Say my name from u, I really agree with it, it is just tooo much information😊
I think that maybe the halateez member would be Wooyoung. why? because at the end of hala hala all the member k1ll3d themselves except for Wooyoung and I also think that wooyoung might be nice and not evil tell me more why you think it’s Wooyoung if you think it’s Wooyoung
🤗❤
Oki but ATEEZ really doesn’t have a single song without a really good meaning....
