If windows is not recognizing your headphones go to your system bios.on startup. mine was F10 on keyboard. then i searched and found INTEGRATED AUDIO and it was disabled. enable it and then SAVE CHANGES AND EXIT. do not touch anything else if you don't know what you're doing. you have few tabs in bios and it's different on other motherboards.mine is HP something. hope this helps you.

Try updating the, "High Definition Audio Controller", which is located in the Device Manager under the System Devices tab. That worked for me without doing anything else, hope this helps.
This is happening mostly for those with AMD graphic cards or any special graphic cards but using an old computer. I suggest to not install win 10 before suffering with researches because even this solution may not work on your computer. So go back to win 8 or even windows 7 to avoid trouble, otherwise you will need to upgrade to a recent cpu. But these are old things that escaped in my mind I wish I could remember earlier before suffering with those researches that I have done. Thanks sir, for the solution that will help many as well.

Hi the only way I got to RESOLVE MY PROBLEM IN MY DESKTOP. is when I tried everything for 3 days straight but to no avail none of the tutorials and other sites able to resolve my problem, what I did is. When I thought about my laptop it has a HARDDRIVE with windows on it so I thought it might be able to get the sound since it already has all the drivers installed there it does not make sense since my laptop and my desktop has different boards of course! but when I finally got my HDD on my desktop WALLA! THE SOUND CAME BACK! and when I format the SSD on my laptop and took it off and put it on my DESKTOP it work! now I HAVE MY SOUND BACK!
