Unnecessary rank up requirements like they should’ve given champ specific gems going up to r4 bare minimum
Out of touch designers (except lags order would be lags > fintech > Mike)
Above all, the arrogance/condescending comments like “don’t do it, not for u, not meant to be easy” to justify bs
The way I look at it is this .
Karate Mike is a kabam employee 1st ,CCP player 2nd and lastly a mcoc community player last. So I’m not surprised he has to make kabam money .
Fintech is just young and very talented in mcoc and he just dropped the ball when creating the challenge.
Lagacy showed he’s about the community.
The rewards don’t match the difficulty of the challenge.
Still no hate towards the Ccp team that created the event as they had a job to do for kabam and not the community.
Legacy is done this before and received a ton of hate so I was surprised he would did it again.. but a paycheck is a paycheck
I think this is the straw that breaks the camels back. Think it’s time to take a step back from the game
WOE started the year of pain for MCOC.
Just don't do the challenge. You're not missing out on much
There is no reason to do every quest and challenge. Let kabam figure out when we play less.
There is no reason to keep playing if your not enjoying the challenges. Or just stick to AQ,AW,BG story mode monthly quests
Stepped back from the game about a year ago, still play it casually from time to time, few days a week. Honestly never felt better. It’s crazy looking back n thinking how much this game use to consume my life and how worked up I got over kabams nonsense. Now I just sit back and laugh. I got my r2 Titania and r2 Diablo. I’m all set for a while lol
Literally all it would take to make this okay is to bring back Revive Farming. Think hard, Kabam.
They don’t care about non spenders at all.
I am surprised that no one is mentioning the requirement to Sig-200 atleast 4 6 star champions like BW, Thor, Mojo and Tigra for these challenges. I have all of these at Sig-20-40 level so that's like an additional 600 Sig Stones needed for me to properly use these champions. Rank up catalysts are on top of that
I think it's no surprise those x100 romance sig stones are in the store right now, along with the 4-5 romance gem. All 4 of those champions are eligible for those materials...

Agreed. When they do it and say see, it's not that expensive, only used x # of revives, not a cash/unit grab, they aren't mentioning all the rank/sig resources
I’ve played this game from the start. And it went to shit a long time ago. The only reason I still play is because I made friends playing, my alliance still has a few of the original players there and we are now good friends. I play for that reason and that reason alone
Lagacy said in his stream they did the challenges in june which was 8 months ago. karate mike did his challenge when root was normal. Now we really know why zemo got changed. He was also struggling with a few fights on his stream bc the root is different. He didnt use 13 revives it was way more than that. He forgot to update his counter during a few fights
U can see that he did the challenge before the nerf. He struggled on the mojo fight bc of the changes to zemos armor up. He couldn't zemos lock the entire fight
He also has a r5 s200 ascended zemo, teamed with zemo at all the other star levels and even then, used a bunch of revives so 🤷♂️

I think you hit the nail on the head and that's why I love your videos. If you want to make crazy content and say you can do it whenever you want is fine, but the rewards are just garbage compared to other hard content. By the time I have the time/will/resources to do this these champs may be in the basic pool lmao
1. This was poorly timed and a major cash grab even if those who created said that it wasn’t.
2. Those who created it definitely designed the challenges at their skill level and not at just above the basic Paragon player. Think of how a teacher teaches. You don’t teach at your knowledge level of the subject but at the students level, or slightly above.
3. Has anyone noticed in the past that every time there has been a major screw up or controversy within the game, Kabam Miike’s ugly presence has been in the middle or forefront of this? Makes you wonder if he should even still be employed.
4. There is a definite favoritism within the management of the game and the Devs to the content creators. Personally, I believe that the Content Creator Program should have never been started because it gives off an almost unethical bias towards those people. Giving them access to new champs and new content, or as some has assumed, advanced notice of upcoming Everest content, gives these people an unfair advantage of the rest of the game’s players/customers. If you want to do this, then hire those content creators and pay them as a part of the Dev/testing team. They should take immediate consideration, after this blow back, of eliminating the Content Creator program or never allowing another non-employee design anything ever again.
Karate Mike is not a community member. I don’t think people should look at his challenge any differently than if it was Miike.
In reality I have to assume the creators were given parameters that they had to meet and were forced to sign that they wouldn’t discuss
I understand if they want to make a hard content make us use revives and units but the problem with Fins challenge is I literally picked up Tigra yesterday and I doubt I will ever get enough skills with her to complete that challenge. Forcing us to do the challenge with the highest skill cap champ is really badly thought of.
Kabam - “We don’t want summoners trivializing content by spamming revives so we’re nerfing revive farming.”
Also Kabam - releases content where everyone except for the top 1% of the top 1% has to spam revives
Yeah they were full of shit when they said that because the content can still be "trivialized by spamming revives" but now we're forced to pay for those revives.

Once again, you hit the nail on the head, these challenges seem like they were based on fun for the creators vs the community, but to Legacy credit most people are enjoying his challenge.
I only did legacy’s challenge which was doable to get deathless king groot shard. And that’s all I a lm going to do 😅
This coming from KT who has all of the skills to do this so that says a lot. Anyone who knows KT knows he could definitely do these challenges. Proper video mate.

Fintechs is straight bs... forcing us to use a champ that is by far one of the hardest champions to master in the game. And if you dont master her, you will spend so many revives
The most disappointing thing about these Carina challenges is that many skilled players, like KarateMike and Fintech, have been uploading videos showing them clear up the end-game content like this itemless for years. And now they come up with challenges that are impossible to do itemless. Where is the logic?
Also, 😂 they should've done 2 difficulties. 1 for the top 1-10% of players which the extra bonuses be those unwanted stupid emotes and titles that some of us can live without, and the other 10-90% somewhat managable even if its less 7* shards but manageable, isntead of just having a couple hundred do the challenge u can involve more summoners, which would mean more money
I think the majority of content creators have completely lost touch with reality, it’s one of the reasons why I enjoy your videos as much as I do. You are far from average but do a good job listening to those of us in the real world.
For me it’s the level of investment compared to the rewards payout. I would have to halt my next 6 rank ups and pivot to investing in champs(that I don’t care about) that work for the challenges. Also by the time I could casually do those rank ups I wouldn’t even care about these rewards. Besides Tigra none of those champs are even close to being properly ranked which really turns me off to the content. Now to be fair at the time the creators they probably didn’t know revive farming would be nerfed. I did the winter of woe robots challenge day 1 in 7 revives and that was because he would randomly just throw a special into my block. Even I don’t have the experience with any of the champs to do them effectively. There is a part of me that thinks with sufficient practice and ranks I could have fun but between real life and all the other content I want to do where would I find the time to do extra work on practicing champs that I’ll never use anywhere else!(besides Tigra).
Exactly, they lock out every champ except for specific ones they know most won't rank up. It's on purpose
one reason of this carina challenges divide community is if you only complete one you can get a deathless champs, so yo can choose do more or not .. but on WoW you can do everything and all objetives to one a single piece

I think the reason that good rank up mats/top rewards were not included in the challenges were to prevent the community from feeling that the challenges were required for progression. The exclusive emotes/titles were better for these challenges IMO. Imagine if the next r3 was locked behind these challenges, the outrage would be much higher. Ideally, the challenges by content creators would be more accessible to all in the community and have solid top-tier rewards.
Also, for me personally, the worst part of it all was the response to the feedback from the creators, specifically KM. They seemed very dismissive of the criticism (the valid ones, not the personal attacks - which are not ok) and got very defensive. "It's not made for everyone." Ya, but the point of the creator challenges is that it should be IMO. I think this would have gone a lot better if they were responsive and acknowledged the valid feedback that was made.
First time in 8 years I'm weighing the enjoyment vs cost/time. Maybe time to step away.

The smart move from them will be a apology towards the community instead the get cocky and rude I guess that half brain off their didn’t function again for me it’s a hard no this time I’m not spending money for profile pics title some a R 2 and a 7* I’m not stupid I prefer to invest in other content the resources .
You nailed it, specifically, noting Kabam's business strategy has changed. It's likely been in the works for sometime, it feels very sudden and in your face, as a player. Making matters worse, is their community team. Mike and Jax consistently make things worse.

On a personal note Lagacy's challenge was actually fun and doable for me at the moment.
That's because i did have a maxed out Starky and i believe most people who have been playing the game since he was released do. I even have a high ranked mojo and tigra but i never played tigra but still you can guess what challenge i might do next. As for the obvious i will not touch the last challenge that requires me to upgrade a Thor, BW, and Ant Man. No way. I would only do it when i dont have any other content to do, any champ i need to rank up and have too many revives from grinding apothecary.
“Not meant to be easy” doesn’t justify having to rank up champs we don’t want to rank up
Is there any threads on compensation for warlock glitch in Winter of woe? I honestly don’t care much if there is or isn’t, but it would be cool considering me not being the best player used 30 revives trying to beat abs man and then the next day when the glitch was fixed, soloed him with both warlock and she hulk. .
Fintech and Karatetwat think they are big game players by creating those out of touch challenges until they face BeroMan in BGs and get spanked 🤣🤣🤣. At least this is what this looks like to me.
I've really gone off karate mike, I use to religiously watch and like his vids, the day it dropped.. then when zemo situation happened, he completely failed to see it from the communities point of view, and just went on about himself, he's just put a post up saying he saw the attacks on fintech and how embarrassing they are..??? Im the op of that thread, and I've read every comment, the worst I've seen said was, he's betrayed the community 😂😂😂.. that's it and they're out of touch (true) how is that insulting?? There's people calling him an idiot, narisscistic, entitled, a stooge, sell out, etc. There's a clear difference at criticizing the challenge and then insulting a content creator because you let your anger get to you over game. Thanks again for voicing your opinion. You always make great points. I think the amount of hard content is not sustainable. Kabam is clearly coming for resources and making sure we don’t have time to build it back up. Watching MSD and Bero, I can see what they were going for. The champions in the challenges actually work pretty well for most of the fights. The problem is there are three or so fights that don’t work at all and are just miserable. The fact that 80% of it looks like a good challenge and 20% is just misery is not appealing at all.
I never liked karate mike his voice is so nasally and high pitched it’s annoying I don’t know how anyone watches him longer then 5 minutes these challenges did nothing to help his case
I think you got the nail on the head with essentially a rank up material deficit. With 5 stars, ill lose revives but nbd. If i have to spend t6b and t3a on multiple champs or have to compromise ranking 6 stars and double spending on 7 stars (iron man, jabari, mojo and note none of these are in the basic pool as 7 stars) it just bums me out. Ill get around to these eventually but it's soo many resources for shards :/.

The regen is the only issue I’ve had with WOW. I like the idea of these challenges but they came at a bad time and the rewards won’t hold up over time. They’re not great right now. Kabam is just having a bad year, Revive nerf, raids fail, wow, and now this challenge. The only w they had was the crypt but that was rewards from last year. So I don’t count that. All L’s.
Like you said it was the timing if they make an event where we can get some revives and then introduce these challenges they won't get this much backlash but it's kabam we know why they are doing this
We have plenty available free stuff , With good management , following the solo events , little bit of arena , collecting your 4 hours crystals war , quest , AQ etc . By no means do you have do all of this to get the resources required to do most if not all of the content out there. My issue is we dont have enough space to store our resources. It all expires ..

They did that on purpose, they're locking valiant behind a pay wall...they know the amount of revives it takes to fully complete necro will either take a very long time or will cost money. When the top players had to spam revives to win they knew the middle of the pack will spend a lot on revives. I've only done 2 paths so far and I'm waiting to see the rewards from 8.4 before I use my revives...if they don't include a r3 7* gem I won't bother and I'll completely focus on necro
And then Kabam mike there need to permaban accounts that complained about the streamers on the mcoc forums. And I mean I watched KT1 do an timeless clear of the LOL with a 4*, so if he’s complaining about it then there’s a problem

I never completed the original carinas challenges, because there was no way the resources used would justify the rewards. These challenges are just as bad. No reason for me to use resources for rewards(6*? champs) that are already obsolete to me. Will easily need more resources than necropolis needed for nothing rewards.
To me absorbing man was a pain but doable and i'm valiant. These are supposed to be really hard to do all of them. I will eventually do them all, but I might take me a couple months.
The way these challenges were advertised was that they will be unachievable by most. Does it seem like a flex? Yeah, but it's a challenge that separates the player base for the creators. Glad the did one that is doable so we can get deathless kg.
Am a Paragon player who playing this game more than 4yr, this valantine month is more annoying than past challange or content. Basically kabam need more money 🤑 i believe. Maybe soon we all switch this mcoc game to another at this rate
Biggest issues is rewards do not match efforts. I would do any content for t4a.

Forcing us to rank up (she-hulk for this weeks absorving man) or zemo? Nah.. thats unfair. No challenge should be made for a spexific SINGLE champion. Specially since rewards really suck

I’m a valiant player and the necropolis was fun with Aegon and getting revives but seems the game is pushing new characters and content and you gotta spend $ to counter those things and stupid tactics in war a lot of player I know said the game isn’t what it use to be and leaving after this season sad but I feel the same .
It’s disgusting how the community has treated karatemike and fintech… I’m sure the same exact people have watched countless hours of their content that has HELPED them in the game and they turn on a dime when they make 1 mistake, I’m hesitant to even call it a mistake… it just isn’t being well received. If you have NO content left in the game then THIS is the content for you, if not, go to other content.
After being in karate Mike’s stream for a little bit, and hearing him explain his thinking, and how he knew, Zemo would crush the gauntlet, and made sure that all the avengers would be able to make it through the gauntlet with low difficulty I definitely have a more open mind to Mike’s challenge. Fin on the other hand… he also did some explaining where he said he made sure that Jabari and Tigra could get through all the fight but it still seems like way to much imo. That one’s going to be a hard pass until I have a R5 ascended Tigra and like r2 Jabari and Mojo
MSD did fintech challenges in relatively low revive count .. so they are as do-able as Miikes

@@fahdsaqlain5289 if everyone in the community had MSDs skills this would be a more reasonable comment. Do you think the average player has the same skills as MSD? That answer is obviously not yes, because if it was yes, no one would be complaining about the content. I understand these very high-level high skill creators that get paid to play the game are really good at it. But for the average person that is playing this game for fun this is really really hard stuff. I know MSD can do it in probably 10 revives, but the average player is going to use 5 to 6 times more. The argument of “this top-tier skill player was able to do it in blank amount of revives so you should be able to do the same” isn’t a good argument.
I disagree. It's not about the difficulty. It's about the whole resources that one needs to use on useless champions, in order to do that challenge. Just the thought, that he did that deliberately is disgusting.

Revive farming was a large necessity because they want to punish any player who doesn't whale. The fact they took it away, now i barely play mcoc. Which sucks because i enjoy the game. But theyre giving me nothing to do. Before i spent a lot more time in game between arena and revive grinding. Now i might play 10 minutes a day.
Bump the revive/potion stash up almost 2x and charge 2000units+ to unlock content like Abyss/Necro. Kabam meets its revenue target, they can design around fun instead of farming revives from players, shittier players like me can still grind the content out.
I can’t like any long form content while the input issues are here and worse than ever before. We have to all stop playing. Allow kabam to get the message. Being angry while still promoting and playing the game is as bad as the input issues.

Stark challenge sounds doable and maybe even enjoyable. Won't be doing any others. I only have like nine 7 stars and only 1 of them is duped so I like the 10k shards I'll be getting. But over all I see the rewards as underwhelming
Instead of marvel contest of champions they should rename it to Marvel Contest of the 5%
Also think about it this way, why would they make content geared only at the smallest fraction of players? Its like theyre actually dumb. "Lets make content that only a few players can do! The rest of players dont matter pfft we don't need their time or money!"
I really only have a problem with Fin's challenge. You make the most difficult challenge with a high skill requirement champ(maybe the highest skill requirement), obviously a flex. This is similar to phycho man rank5 owner making challenges that require a rank up of him. GTFO, at least starky was a 5* and Zemo can be done with a 6*r3 boosted. The nodes in EOP would be hell with anything less than a r4 ascended tigra. All that said, they are forever content and if you choose to do them knowing whats waiting for you, how can you be upset? Biggest miss were the rewards.
Lags challenge would be alot better if at least it was requiring only 6 star starky, the whole 5 star thing makes it too tedious for me a
Have no desire to do these challenges. I will however save my units and explore necropolis instead. If the fights were fun I’d at least give them an honest go but they’re not fun at all. Necropolis exploration has guaranteed value far beyond these objectives.
Why don't they make these challenges in ccp server and have at it 😂😂
I'm still trying to get through necropolis. I don't have the resources for WOW let alone the new Carina challenges. But at let Carina is permanent content. More annoyed with WoW honestly.

Fintech and karatemike challenge very boring and difficult, if they like this champions so that's doesn't means they push us to rank them up and do most difficult fights with them , the rewards suck as well so I just skip the whole thing
Between these challenges and the abs man fight… its definitely time that the player base stands up and says enough is enough of this garbage content
I could not imagine being so mad at a challenge in a video game, that I would turn into a toxic a-hole about it towards other human beings(content creators or not). Then still continue to play the game? If I ever got as mad at the game as some of these comments lead me to believe, I would be outie 5000.

You can honestly skip all of the Carina’s Challenges. Most of the rewards are outdated and not worth the effort.
If you’re personally hurt by this then I’m sorry, you just need to get a life. The outrage here is far worse than the challenges. I think the mid rewards are a good thing b/c no one has to do these…it’s not going to create a progression gap. Ppl need to chill though man, it’s a mobile game.

It's so dumb they're only targeting such a small group of players...last time I checked targeting the entire community is the way to make the most money in a game.
This community is so weird it’s fine if you don’t want to do the challenges in fact I probably won’t do them. I don’t understand why people are going after the creators that made these like do you really have nothing better to do in life then complain about optional challenges in a mobile game.
You do realize this is the MCOC community, not the 1% of players community right? Of course the other 99% of players aren't happy that they continually release content that is only viable towards the smallest percentage of players. What's weird is you think it's okay that they're continually releasing content targeted only at the top of the top percentage of players and ignoring the other 99%.
Their priority should be the entire community, not just a few players.
Fun fact lagacy’s initial idea was much harder, around Fin, mikes level. Kabam did have the tech so that idea didn’t workout.

Nobody won't care about this rewards as soon as 3-4 months from now. They require highest required catalysts now. And no. 99.99999% is not gonna use Thor or bw or ant man afterwards pretty much ever. Not in bgs, not in war, not even in questing. The only good thing is, that I will have advantage in bgs over people who will rank up this champions, cause instead I am gonna keep ranking up useful champions.

there's nothing wrong with the challenges other than the rewards. i dont mind hard content, but the rewards are dogshit. should've been a fully formed titan crystal + rank up gem for each of the hard ones
