@@TheV8Pumpkin doesnt look like for sound purposes, I did it on my evo x to get rid of all the extra unnecessary back pressure for the turbo, (helped alot down low in the rpm and freed up about 20 ponies up to in the rpm) and once you a own a manual car with this LOUD its gonna be loud just by tapping the gas lightly to get moving and I highly doubt he cares what the other people think about his car, it's clear as day he is doing it for himself and his friend that is recording

Well my 97 model sounds very similar to this, its not different because its newer, its different because it has no resonators. Phone camera mics don't do the low end rumble justice, its definitely there, its just that it has more of a growl on the high end

Owning a STI in NYC literally is the poorest decision you can make. Be lucky if you can have 10 secs of WOT for every 8 hours of driving. Stiff suspension with the horrible road conditions must be fun.
this car seems louder than it is because its in the middle of a city where there's a lot of echo. But if you want it to sound like this, replace cat back with a 3 inch pipe straight through (no resonators) and then it will sound like this. Nothing to it really, just make sure you get a quality muffler
If I had to guess. Probably a catless downpipe with ETS extreme exhaust. Possibly aftermarket headers? Can’t think of anything else to get your decibels louder
a coworker of mine has this loud single exit and complained it was overcharging, so he changed back to stock until he gets a tune. he notices everyone rides his ass. after putting the exhaust back on, everyone backs off.
It's a pain in the butt to be in that kind of traffic in that Subaru, that's one of the reasons l traded mine in. The throw out bearings are weak and it overheats the clutch.

He's revving could only be because of his clutch. He probably needed it to be at a certain RPM to get the car to simply mode. Yeah he had a custom car and yeah there was a few fun revs, but im sure the constant revving is to mode the vehicle. :D beautiful masterpiece of a car!

Do you flutter the gas when you're starting? I was always told 2k is fine and anything more will burn your clutch. Also STis have a decent amount of low end so it's hard to stall them if you're engaged and moving.
@@JesusMcPleasus depends on the car. STi's are actually very easy to stall. The clutch bites at the very top and they grab pretty aggressively. Paying attention to rpm's when you're engaging the clutch is something you really only do as a beginner. as you get used to it, you add throttle as the clutch grabs. Usually you'll never go over 1.5k during that transition, but when you're in traffic and only needing to move slowly for short distances, just engaging the clutch past the bite point with as little rpm's as possible is the best way to save your clutch. usually you'll find yourself feathering both clutch and throttle inversely while doing that and sounds like what he's doing here.

there are some clutches that if you dont give a lot of revs then it will stall or jerk the fuck out of the car because they are so grabby and that grab point is also a lot narrower than say a stock clutch
I have a 2019 sti with the wrx 2015+ mid-pipe which is stock non-resonated + i have a 3.5" nameless muffler delete + hks bov and it screams and pops like crazy, the amount of looks that i get in the city is insane 😂😂

xbe It honestly depends, some high horsepower cars requires you to blip the throttle if you don't want to launch the car.
there are some clutches that if you dont give a lot of revs then it will stall or jerk the fuck out of the car because they are so grabby and that grab point is also a lot narrower than say a stock clutch

I have a 2019 sti with the wrx 2015+ mid-pipe which is stock non-resonated + i have a 3.5" nameless muffler delete + hks bov and it screams and pops like crazy, the amount of looks that i get in the city is insane 😂😂
