    I just confirmed with Lil Monsters that soft scale doesn't necessarily make them have MORE scales but it does make them smaller and evenly spaced out

      I couldn't really tell the difference between a "normal" and a soft, but the super soft was blatantly obvious. Incredible, to say the least!

    I can't tell you how many times I've watched this video just to be able to stare at these beautiful geckos. This gene reminds me if yhe desert ghost in ball pythons, it just seems to clean everything up. This is why I need a gecko or two off you.
    You need to reproduce this Halloween super soft scale you have in this video because its just amazing ❤

    Can you identify Soft Scale in a hatchling, or is it a gene that presents more as they grow?

    • @robbysreptiles
      @robbysreptiles  Год назад

      Super softs are pretty easy to identify as hatchlings, but it's best to get them to about 10 grams before confirming anything. And its usually best to say something is a probable super soft if it's a soft x soft or super soft x soft scale

    Been watching all your videos and the other popular breeders videos. Its fun learning and I still dont have a gecko lol. I want something soft scale and super dark. Maybe try to make empty back dark soft scales. For now I'm swamped caring for bunnies.

    Could you do a video explaining what HET, 50% HET, 50% HET axanthic is? I keep seeing this referenced but don't really know what it means. I know what axanthic is. Just not what the HET stuff is

    • @robbysreptiles
      @robbysreptiles  Год назад +1

      Het means they carry the gene. When you pair a het to a normal you produce 50% hets because it's a coin toss that they carry the gene but there's no way to visually identify it

    very pretty, all i care about is they keep the gene under control, and hope that the scales are as safe and still give them the protection they need while going through branches and mating and such. Otherwise, no need for this, altering colors is fine, but i'm tired of us messing with scales and the natural structures of the animals.
    i'm sure you know what i mean.
    we have a tendency to alter our reptiles so far from the natural morphs it's like we're never happy.
    i just hope everyone is carefull and thoughtful.
