I can't tell you how many times I've watched this video just to be able to stare at these beautiful geckos. This gene reminds me if yhe desert ghost in ball pythons, it just seems to clean everything up. This is why I need a gecko or two off you. You need to reproduce this Halloween super soft scale you have in this video because its just amazing ❤
My b, by info i meant how it coexist within certain morphs as people really start to input them into their projects as they start to gain tht respect around the community.
I just recieved my halloween extreme harlequin soft scale from AC reptiles the other day! he is absolutely stunning and will for sure be an amazing breeder in the future.
I want a super soft scale Halloween just like yours and a lily white like yours, they're the most beautiful geckos ❤ How can I get one's exactly like these?
Super softs are pretty easy to identify as hatchlings, but it's best to get them to about 10 grams before confirming anything. And its usually best to say something is a probable super soft if it's a soft x soft or super soft x soft scale
Been watching all your videos and the other popular breeders videos. Its fun learning and I still dont have a gecko lol. I want something soft scale and super dark. Maybe try to make empty back dark soft scales. For now I'm swamped caring for bunnies.
Could you do a video explaining what HET, 50% HET, 50% HET axanthic is? I keep seeing this referenced but don't really know what it means. I know what axanthic is. Just not what the HET stuff is
Het means they carry the gene. When you pair a het to a normal you produce 50% hets because it's a coin toss that they carry the gene but there's no way to visually identify it
@Robby's Reptiles hey thanks for that! I tried googling it and got mostly sales ads for reptiles with that gene. I appreciate the quick explanation, sir.
very pretty, all i care about is they keep the gene under control, and hope that the scales are as safe and still give them the protection they need while going through branches and mating and such. Otherwise, no need for this, altering colors is fine, but i'm tired of us messing with scales and the natural structures of the animals. i'm sure you know what i mean. we have a tendency to alter our reptiles so far from the natural morphs it's like we're never happy. i just hope everyone is carefull and thoughtful.
@@robbysreptiles I hear ya, but bigger is interesting, i just dont want the gene to end up in all of them because then what abput those of us that enjoy that, but still want more pure forms as well......see what im getting at?
I thought everybody had some soft skills and super soft skills in our projects by 2023. Keep up the good work Robbie love your videos. Melo’s Geckos, LLC.
I just confirmed with Lil Monsters that soft scale doesn't necessarily make them have MORE scales but it does make them smaller and evenly spaced out
I couldn't really tell the difference between a "normal" and a soft, but the super soft was blatantly obvious. Incredible, to say the least!
@@jonathonthomas99 is something you gotta see in person!
Are they softer thou?
Yes on the belly
Yes like cornstarch feeling @@rgerdts4169

I'm working on it!
Really appreciate this. I cant wait till this gene truly takes off as we gain more and more info
All the info is already out!

Great info Robby! I love the idea of incorporating soft scale into more projects I just need to get better at identifying the markers in the het form
It's got a look!
I agree with the significance of having soft scale/super. Keep up the great videos!
Always will!
My gecko mango has always had baby soft skin even when she's about to shed. I like it it's one of my favorite things about her 😂❤

Thank you
Every single one of these babies are stunning. 🖤
Thank you!

How can I get one's exactly like these?
A microscope comparison showing the differences would be really cool.
I got close enough lol
Can you identify Soft Scale in a hatchling, or is it a gene that presents more as they grow?
Super softs are pretty easy to identify as hatchlings, but it's best to get them to about 10 grams before confirming anything. And its usually best to say something is a probable super soft if it's a soft x soft or super soft x soft scale

Your available geckos link is compromised.
Thanks for the heads up, I'll update the dns
@@robbysreptiles it took me to a screen that said it was compromised and to go back. Weird. Never seen it before.
It's just that my web host didn't renew my security in the HTML or something like that. The site is still viewable

No worries this isn't anything like scaleless trust me. If anything soft and super soft geckos tend to be bigger and healthier so only a positive

No not at all. It's high improbable that all crested geckos will carry the gene

I'm sure lots of people have had soft without knowing but definitely not super soft
I think I have one it feels like velvet so soft
Most crested geckos feel this way
