As an autistic, borderline mentally disabled young man with cerebral palsy (no, I am not physically impaired; I am simplisticly collectized under the general portion of the populous who have suffered a brain injury prior to their first annual epoch being completed) I would have likely been deemed to be "life unworthy of life" should I had been conceived and born during Hitler's reign of terror. I've been amalgamating a research paper regarding this very topic lately. How about taking a gander at a sample of my research: Hitler had deeply pined for the mass execution of mentally and physically impaired individuals for decades. In 1929, at the age of 40, via a pejorative elocution at Nuremberg, the future Führer und Reichskanzler espoused the following somewhat paraphrased articulations regarding the impaired: “Through our modern sentimental humanitarianism, we make an effort to maintain the weak a the expense of the healthy. Criminals are allowed to reproduce, degenerates are laboriously coddled in an artificial way. Thus we slowly grow the week whilst killing the strong. If Germany gained a million children annually and eliminated 700,000 to 800,000 of the weakest foundlings, the result would likely be an upward graduation in strength. The most egregious thing is to cut ourselves off from the process of natural selection.” Ruminating upon this quotation, it is utterly foreseeable that Hitler order a physician, Karl Brandt, to terminate the indubitably innocent Gerhard. Following his injunction, Karl incumbently, dutifully ended the conscientious existence of the 4-month-26-day-old suckling via a lethal injection. This original episode of euthanasia, in all likelihood, emboldened Hitler to institutionalize a full-fledged campaign against the impaired. Who are the true monstrosities again?".

One very frightening aspect the T4 euthanasia program are the nice buildings where these atrocities were perpetrated. It is easy to imagine someone who was sent to one of these killing centres on arrival thinking to themselves that nothing bad could possibly happen to them in such civilized surroundings. The sheer evilness of the program is emphasised by the neatly manicured trees, pleasant gardens, and nice architecture, of these murder factories. It's like the buildings themselves played an active role in the deception. In many ways, they were like so many gingerbread houses in some nasty Grimm's fairy tale.

As an Autistic person I learned a lot about the Aktion T4 program and Hans Asperger involvement. It's why many of us in the Autism community don't use the term Asperger to describe our condition but instead use Neuro-diverse or Autistic. I still find it unsettling that even today many people still see Autistic people as a lesser human being. The bullying and abuse I receive from the public makes me sad. There's nothing wrong with me, I'm just different. But we carry on as a community and stick together and support each other. I hope one day the rest of society will finally recognise our worth.

Great vid! I am glad that you took my suggestion (kind of) and talked a little about German resistance. That one father... he was destined to be an asshole no matter who was in power IMO. But I'm happy to see that people did try to rebel against this insanity by demanding their children back. And that one brave Cardinal - perhaps I missed it, but did he suffer any retribution for being so outspoken against this practice?
Also - yes, yes, yes! I only knew of California's terrible past from The Dead Kennedy's (Kill The Poor, California Über Alles). They were alluding to current events (early 80s), but the lyrics made me think and do a little digging into the past. Who says you can't learn anything from Punk? :D

They really were trying to say that calling anyone those two things weren't actually ever used to humiliate other people until much later, and that the adoption of such terms into mainstream medical records wasn't at all influenced by people that saw the lives of the disabled as being a burden.

I only recently came across your videos and I have to honestly say, you narrate history extremely well, even at times of humor. I lived in (then West) Germany from 1981 to 1984, after my father was stationed at Bitburg Air Base. Naturally, this is when I discovered the history of Germany, the good and the terrible. Even then, it was difficult to conceive that such much life lost to sheer and pure evil, as I had never actually encountered such before that time, and really even after (that is, until September 11, 2001). And, perhaps sadly and ironically, history is indeed seeking to repeat itself, as assisted suicides have become legal in some countries (such as Canada). I never could understand back when I was young what that kind of evil was, and then all hell broke loose in 2020 with the lockdowns, suppression of freedoms, liberties, and rights, and mandates. I have seen people willingly follow the herds in doing what is expected of them. Before 2020, there was anti-Semitism, but since it has become the accepted norm, but only against certain groups of people, including Conservatives like myself. Now I understand what I didn't back then.

For those who participated in such heinous acts of depravity the stain which will forever be placed upon Germany will never be erased over the course of history whatever the attempts of apologists and various misguided individuals to lessen its intensity. The war aims of Germany were in my opinion no worse than those persued by many Great Powers throughout the centuries, remove the barbarity of the Holocaust and I suggest the conduct of German armed forces was no worse than other participating powers to any great extent, maybe some people will not agree obviously once again it is a matter of debate and opinion. The main point I was arguing is that the nation has irretrivably been tarnished with the consequences of the actions of relatively small numbers of miscreants , followers and psychopaths. I do not wish to appear as miminmising the responsibility of all the German people but I have always noticed how necessary it was for the architects of the montrous acts to involve many other?????...??...?????

At the 3:41 mark, you mentioned a law that was passed in California, was this a law for sterilization or euthanasia? Not that sterilization by force is okay but you did say a "literal kill the poor law", so I guess you refer to a euthanasia law that was passed for the "economically vulnerable".
I have tried to find more information about this and all I found was the following:
"End of Life Option Act. The End of Life Options Act (SB 128) went into effect on June 9, 2016. It allows California residents who are at least 18 years old and have a terminal illness with a life expectancy of 6 months or less to request a medication that will hasten their death."
Just how is this comparable to the forced euthanasia used by the Nazis?
I did read that physician assisted death is now being protested as it helps people who have disabilites to commit suicide, but it hardly compares to being forced to end one's life
Also, no where could I find anything about ending someone's life who is "economically vulnerable"in California.
