Thanks a million for taking the time to watch this video. Let me know if I've missed any key terms? Wishing you all the very best with your investments.
Thank you very much for a clear, concise explanation of investing terms. Could I ask a question? I've just invested £350 in a ittu etf which I belive is accumulating currently it stands at 46 pound profit which which should be enough to buy a share but has not done so could you explain accumulating vs dividend please? Thanks 👍
It's not so much accumulating vs dividend, rather accumulating versus distribution. With accumulating ETFs, the dividends from the stocks in the ETF are automatically reinvested back into the ETF. With distribution ETFs, the dividends from the ETF is paid to your account as cash. You can then do what you like with it, reinvest into same ETF or use it for something else. If you're starting off, pick the accumulating version of the ETF (if there's a choice). Some people choose the distribution version because they have already built up a big pot and want to take the dividend as an income. For example, if you have a pot that is £100,000 and the ETF is a distributing one with a dividend of 6%, then it pays out £6,000 a year.
I’m pleased your investment is doing well for you. I have an older video on this which may help…ruclips.net/video/gJ6P0lN-uLM/видео.htmlsi=Es2aQZRCWukFn6Bx I hope this helps and if not feel free to ask any other questions 😊
Great video, i am just starting out and this helps a lot. Could I ask a semi related question on the topic of commodities? i have been playing around on T212 and have 50% percent of my savings going into the cash ISA, and 50% into my stocks ISA, which i am planning to put 70% into a FTSE all world and 30% into Ishares physical gold or silver. (im trying to create some kind of safety net i guess using Ray Dalios all weather portfolio strategy)... My question is what is your opinion on having something like gold in your portfolio as opposed to just all in equitys ?
Thank you so much for watching and for your comment too. I’m so pleased you enjoyed the video. Unfortunately I can’t give financial advice and everyone’s situation and risk tolerance is so different. Andrew Craig’s book called How to own the World is particularly interesting in regards to asset allocation. I personally don’t hold any gold or silver at present. Wishing you all the very best with your investments. How exciting for you.
Thanks I’ll carry on watching your videos and all the other content. Along with books, I’m 3 down so far many to go in hopes that I can make some kind of sense of it all. The main lesson seems to be. Invest in eft if you have no idea. And hold. Patience is key. Fingers crossed
With commodities you should be very experienced in the commodities market. Commodities are much more volatile as they are very reactive to geopolitical events. Company stocks are much more stable.
Thank you so much for your comment. I actually have a video on dividend paying ETFs: ruclips.net/video/6SD6U-XY8fQ/видео.html I hope you find this useful.

It's an everything bubble, virtually everything is going up and up. Silver is ready to rocket.
Thank you so much for watching and for your comment Stephen.
I ignore Alpha and Delta, but Beta is worth taking into consideration (beta > 1.0 more risk, beta < 1.0 less risk).
Thank you so much for sharing 👍
