That's because this is actually Harlem Fuss. When the original records were released the labels were reversed. The error is well known so there is no reason for any confusion in this day and age. I'd like to see Reg Dwight try and play this.
Scorched mine too. This tune should be referred to by its correct title of Harlem Fuss - just because the original record issue was incorrectly labelled it doesn't mean that the error should be repeated in perpetuity. It was composed and copyrighted as Harlem Fuss and should be referred to as such.
Whatever happened re titles at the the recording session I own a book of sheet music of Fats Waller originals containing Harlem Fuss. It, Harlem Fuss, is quite different to what is played here and much slower.. It can be heard , like almost everything, on this site.. This piece is, due to the tempo required, far far too difficult for an average pianist. That is also true of Handful of Keys which is present along with Harlem Fuss.

Too fast. Fats Waller plays it fast but not like this. Here all you do is marvel at the musicians, not the music.

Superb rendition! Note Jeff’s stride left hand. The bass sax gives it a true ‘20’s feeling.
