Hi Crystal, it's always fun watching you open surprise bags and boxes. You're right: it's the luck of the draw. One person sees trash, another sees treasure.
Crystal, You always make my smile. I would love those patterns. Like you collect crochet hooks, I collect crochet patterns. I remember, when I was about 11 & a half, I wanted you make something from a pattern and asked my sister to read it to me. She said, "I will do better than that, I will teach you how to read the pattern". I am now a more advanced crocheter than she is.
I love books and have the advantage of having taught myself how to read a pattern from one. There was no RUclips in 1982 🤣🤣 I picked up a Beginner’s Guide to Crochet book for 25 cents in a Goodwill. It had all the stitches my grandmother didn’t have time to teach me 😂 (she was 41 and still a full time hospital nurse 👩🏽⚕️). I took that book everywhere to keep learning. But I wore it out opening and closing it. So when I was old enough for my own library card, I started taking out pattern books from the library. I didn’t know back then to write down my own patterns and I had enough to write while in school 🙄, so many patterns I created are lost to me, though I have a few pictures with my work, so I can reverse engineer it 😂 You create great work, and I love your tutorials! Never worry about following another’s pattern when you are gifted with such a creative mind. Just do you Crystal, that is why we love you so much, because you are just YOU🥰🥰🧶🧶🧶
The books and binder were really great loads of instruction ect. I do not enjoy reading I love to watch and learn. Thais is why I enjoy Bag O Day. Looking forward to next time 🙂
Crystal, I am like you about the pattern books. You are the first channel that I came across when I learned to use you tube and I am so thankful. I am 75 yrs old but I have learned so much from you. You got me excited about crochet again! Thanks so much!! Love from Ms.❤️🧶🧶🧶
I have always loved mystery bags...since I was a child. I love the surprise of whats inside!! I too buy them when I can... even from one of my favorite clothing companies!!
Those are great mystery boxes!!! I love the yarn and the books. That binder with all of the sturdy little pattern booklets is soooo cool. I especially love that they have knitting and crochet patterns. Another excellent video....thank you Crystal!!!
How fun!! I love it all!! But,,,I do like pattern books and patterns! And the tin with the crochet thread is awesome! Thanks for sharing...it's fun watching you open mystery boxes and bags! Thanks Crystal!!
I haven't been able to master written patterns and I've never learned to knit. Your face when you opened the first large bag was priceless. I work with all yarn and threads.
I can read patterns but since returning to crochet and finding you on RUclips, I prefer videos. Perfect world would be both at the same time. With free patterns, you are lucky to find both. You make me smile. I have a better smiley time with you than with the four family members living in my home. Thank you very much 😊 Please don't change. I enjoy you and your family. ♡ Your videos give me many ideas in yarns I would buy if my budget would allow. I mostly crochet in the last year, more challenging types of projects. I do them for myself. I've no one to give them to. Except for 3 babies since last August. And in Florida and summer that is pretty much over. Too hot. But maybe a few Christmas dresses 👗 🤔 for the 2 baby girls. I intend to make purses or sweaters for my doctors. with help from your videos the materials I choose will be with consideration of the yarn types. Weights and care instructions you provide...your opinions. Thank you. Goodness knows I could not read your patterns nor watch all the videos you give to us in the remainder of my lifetime. God bless. Love always 💖
I can only crochet or knit with a pattern! Embarking on a project right out of my head, as you do, Crystal, is SOO impossible for me....that's what makes our yarn world so beautiful - we each do what works for us to create something totally our own!! Love these mystery bags and your sharing them with us - THANK YOU CRYSTAL! ❤
Crystal I love them all. The books alone are worth the prices. You can read patterns you just have to learn the initials of the stitches. Thank you for showing us these.
Oh, those patterns are delightful! I love patterns! That yarn is awesome too, especially the Scheepjes fine art cake in the pink and black! Since you don’t like patterns you don’t have to worry if they don’t match the patterns. “What’s in the bag, man?” That’s another appropriate quote, from Clint Eastwood’s movie “Dirty Harry”. I truly LOVE threads as I use them to make miniature doilies and bedspreads and such for the miniature dioramas my girlfriend makes.
The large box had really cool yarn. All the other yarn was nice too. I can read some simply written patterns but some people seem to try and make them difficult. In some cases if you see how it is done it is easy. That is why I so appreciate all of your tutorials and how well you demonstrate and explain what you are doing. Thank you.
I love seeing new yarn stores and their mystry boxes. Not sure I would buy their mystry boxes but wiil have fun exploring their site. Thank you Crystal.
as a self taught crochet person i love patterns and different ideas from others. you have reawakened my crochet bug. i stopped crocheting after my mom died in 1994. you are a breath of fresh air as a teacher the various yarns you show have stretched my skills. i love that they are not run of the mill that is available in this area.😄😄
First best part - bubble wrap. (Shows they care, and protect against delivery drivers: also, a fun toy 😀) I know how you feel about patterns; I jot down what I see in tutorials so I can crochet watching TV, but can't follow my own notes, lol. I just pronounce it "sheepies" 🙃 I love watching you open mystery bags. I'm deciding which company to buy my first mystery bags/boxes. What's in the box, man?!? I love tins, I collect them. I'd crochet ornaments out of that thread. Gorgeous yarns, thanks for sharing, Crystal. Take care
OMGOSH 💔😪!!! MY PHONE CRASHED ON THE 14TH & MY PRECIOUS DAUGHTER FINALLY GOT MY NEW SET UP ON THE 21ST OR 22ND SO I"VE BEEN BINGE WATCHING TRYING TO GET CAUGHT UP IN BETWEEN MY SWEET HUSBAND BEING IN THE SARASOTA MEMORIAL HOSPITAL HAVING MORE HEART TEST & PROCEDURES FOR THE LAST 2 DAYS 🙏✝️❤!!! SO I MISSED THIS ONE SOME HOW! THANK GOD YOU MENTIONED IT IN ONE OF YOUR LATER VIDEOS ❤😘!!! THANK YOU SO VERY VERY MUCH CRYSTAL ❤❤❤🥰🥰🥰!!! YOU ARE THE BEST 👌❤🥰!!!
OMG! These are the best mystery bags I have ever seen. The pattern books are fantastic and very expensive to purchase. Yarn was also very generous for the price. Feeling very envious .
I like patterns, but I like to pick out the ones that I'm interested in actually making. I wouldn't want them in a mystery box that I'm expecting to be full of yarn. I liked the large bag with the whirl, but I was saddened to see that the other large one was different. I think you saved a lot of us a lot of money on this one, so thanks, Crystal, for being our mystery bag guinea pig once again :) Hugs & blessings!
Love love love the pattern books. Pattern books are really pricey those look like great books. I also love the yarn and the thread I do a lot of doilies and cardigans with the thread. Thank you for sharing with us
Well.they were a different kind of mystery bag. Books are ok but you've got to be wanting to make that particular item that's in there or else it does seem a waste of book. I'm not very reader myself but there might be something in there to look at. I only started crocheting myself probably about 2 1/2 years ago and I sort of learnt by watching tutorials and once you start knowing what things mean like DC for double crochet HDC for half double crochet etc, then that's all you need to know to follow a pattern. most patterns have the abbreviations at the start of what each one means. I actually taught myself how to read a pattern but I do love watching all your tutorials, yarn unboxings etc from start to finish & on normal speed just in case I miss something 😉 😍🤗🤩 thank you so much Crystal for showing us this new mystery bags unboxing. 😊 I really love watching bod life as well, your family is gorgeous, ive .....really missed seeing them. love from one of your fans in Western Australia 🇦🇺🐨💐🌻🌹🤗🤩😊😍🇦🇺
Hi Crystal! We all pronounce things different. Don't worry about it. (Potato-potato,skien- skain etc)This isn't High school english. When I found YT in early 2019 I couldn't read patterns or graphs. I've learned that when they start putting ( ) or [ ] I write it all out so I understand them. Makes a huge difference! I had crochet for kids books & couldn't understand them b4 YT. I really enjoyed these mystery bags. Love that they gave the binder too. Plus they weren't the exact same/colors. I'll give the items a home if you want to give them away/donate. I love they put tags on the beginning of the skeins. I'd like to have more wearable for older sizes. Have a great week. Big hugs!!💟
Love watching you unboxing yarn. It's such a joy. Glad you are back. Some patterns are definitely hard to read. The yarns and the threads are gorgeous.
Lots of fun watching you and your expressions as you open them. It was a little disappointing seeing so many patterns and a little bit of yarn. The yarns are all nice and the patterns will make a nice giveaway. Thanks for sharing and have a great day !
Crystal sure black follows along with Christmas, Santa's boots and belt, reindeers noses and to break up colors in decorations of red, green and white, lol.♥🧶Not a bad haul! What fun! The last book has patterns to use the thread with, haha. God bless, be safe and stay well.
First, I will say that you are so very fortunate to be able to create patterns. I can do some creating myself. I have altered patterns to suit me as well, but I love those books!! I taught myself how to read them years and years ago. I do love a pattern with a companion video!!. I love the beauty of those books. Pattern books have also taught me how to design a bit. I love your patterns the best. You are an extremely good teacher!! Such beautiful Yarns. I do think you should combine those pink, lavender and white balls and make something for little Miss Rose. I would love to see it!!
That was a fun mystery unboxing. I have used a bit of Scheepjes yarn and it has always been lovely to work with. Thank you Crystal - and yes those colours would make something beautiful for Evelyn xx
The scheepjes thread tin would be a good present for someone who works with thread, you have one Christmas present down! I cannot read patterns, I’m an excellent reader, patterns just thwart me. I have to watch someone and learn, thats how my grandma taught me. The pictures in the binder would be nice though you might could figure it out by looking at the product. The yarn was beautiful even though it was light weight yarn. I’m with you i like 4 or larger. The gray would be a wonderful scarf or cowl. The books look expensive. I love the lavender color!! I really like cream for christmas hats and scarves. Thank you for the awesome gift bag reveal!!
Hi crystal love to see your exsament went to open the bag's its priceless to see you . Im still learning to read those patterns I find it easy to go along with my youtube family then reading them . God bless you and your family
Hi Crystal. The yarns are beautiful. Like you l can't read patterns. Your enthusiasm when opening these is very infectious. Hope you make something very pretty for your daughter with all those pretty colors. My daughter is 42 and loves when I make her things. 😊
Crystal, you're not alone in reading patterns! They are my kryptonite! All the thin cottons and cotton threads had me drooling. My hands are to y and I struggle with bulky yarns.
Those are amazing and wonderful mystery bags. Love Scheepies. Patterns are so cool to do. Have an awesome day Crystal and family. Love, love, your unboxings.
Thanks for showing us your mystery bags. It is so helpful to know what to expect. Those patterns do look beautiful. If you know the abbreviations, following written patterns is usually not hard. You are so talented I bet you could!
Those Mystery Bags had to have been put together for someone like me! I LOOOVE the patterns that go in the binder! I can read patterns (& I'm learning to read charts) but I can't write 'em. The books you got looked great, too. The yarn was lovely, every last skein. And I've done thread crochet for years, so I adored the tin of mercerized cotton thread. I know, Crystal! Just send me the books, the pattern binder & patterns, that beautiful tin of thread & any yarn you can't work with and you can keep everything else, lol! You know I'm kidding but I am just a little envious: those are some pretty terrific mystery bags! I can't wait for your next unboxing! ~ Carolyn 🌺
Awesome Mystery Bags! I learned how to read patterns when I learned how to crochet. I love to crochet from patterns! I also learned to crochet with Cotton Thread. Those Mystery Bags are definitely perfect for me. Have to get some🙂❤
Hey Crystal, I felt so bad for you when your excitement went down a bit when you seen those patterns. But loved your smile when you opened your fist large mystery bag. Thanks for showing what you could possibly get if we order any.
It's always fun watching unboxing. The 1st large bag with those 3 hanks of the cotton blue jean color is gorgeous. It would make a nice tank top or summer top.
Love the mystery bags. They are worth every penny if I could afford them. I love the books and patterns. The yarn was to die fore. The Xmass box is right up my ally. Thanks so much for sharing.
Love all the yarn you got I can't read a crocheting pattern but I can read knitting ones. But I love to follow your tutorials as I have learnt so much from you. Thank you for being an excellent tutor . Stay safe hope the family are doing well now xxxx
Hi Crystal, I started learning to read patterns when I learned to crochet 64 years ago (OMG! 64 years ago!). The Yarnazines are $15 each and some of the patterns are more difficult than others. I love crochet thread and small yarns so I'll be glad to take any of them off your hands🤣! Seriously, I think you got a good deal all around. Enjoy the yarn.
I'm with you about pattern reading even though I wish I could... I'm so grateful that you do these unboxings/unbaggings that way we know what to buy and what not to buy...love that cake yarn though! Thanks for all your yarn content and tutorials your such an amazing teacher/instructor in the fiber community!
There are so many beautiful patterns out there, so I think it's worth the challenge to learn patterns. All it takes is maybe a list of abbreviations by your side and start with something simple and work slowly at first. Scheepjes Whirls are beautiful!
Crystal, when i see you opening something and you get excited, i find my cheeks start hurting because i smile so hard when i see how happy you get! Yay! Glad you're excited, at lady within the first few minutes as I'm writing this Okay, so i think, generally, you were happy. I would have been outta my mind happy! I can read patterns like lighter yarns and thread!
It's nice to have a sharing space with people who are equally obsessed with MORE & MORE yarn products, projects & videos galore.
I love how excited you get. Open!my mystery boxes it. Makes me smile
Hi Crystal, it's always fun watching you open surprise bags and boxes. You're right: it's the luck of the draw. One person sees trash, another sees treasure.
It’s always fun watching your mystery box treasures🎉
Watching your channel is a nice reprieve from the world; and what fun to see new 🧶.
I always follow your tutorials. I CAN'T go by patterns I have to go by tutorials. You are a Terrific teacher. THANK YOU FOR THAT.
I love the way Crystal teaches. Crystal is very patient
I just love watching you open your boxes/bags, just awesome. It's like watching a kid on Christmas morning. Thank you for sharing with us.
So fun watching you open mystery bags.

Crystal you get so excited opening Mystery bags.
I'm so glad I am not the only one who can't read a pattern! I am so super impressed that you have created all of these patterns out of nowhere!

I love seeing new yarn stores and their mystry boxes. Not sure I would buy their mystry boxes but wiil have fun exploring their site. Thank you Crystal.
Agree, I'd rather get mystery bags of yarn, not patterns. Always enjoy videos.
Love to see you open Mystery bags/boxes!! Nice ones today and my favorite yarn was your favorite!! Thanks for sharing! Stay safe! Love & Hugs. 💕🤗💕
as a self taught crochet person i love patterns and different ideas from others. you have reawakened my crochet bug. i stopped crocheting after my mom died in 1994. you are a breath of fresh air as a teacher the various yarns you show have stretched my skills. i love that they are not run of the mill that is available in this area.😄😄
Oh crystal I love threads it makes some pretty dolls but I like the big one best I like your happy face when opening yarns
First best part - bubble wrap. Love the first large bag, the rest, not so much. Watching you open them with such enthusiasm was the best.
I like how excited you get but to bad about the patterns. You were cracking me up!!! Love the bright pink in the large bag.
I love mystery bags for just about any product. I love to see someone else get as excited as I do about them. You're precious, Crystal.

Love the mystery bags. They are worth every penny if I could afford them. I love the books and patterns. The yarn was to die fore. The Xmass box is right up my ally. Thanks so much for sharing.
Very pretty yarn...love the purple and gray together and the 3 blues. Nice!
Love all the yarn you got I can't read a crocheting pattern but I can read knitting ones. But I love to follow your tutorials as I have learnt so much from you. Thank you for being an excellent tutor . Stay safe hope the family are doing well now xxxx
Love mystery bags. Some patterns are very hard to follow. Thanks for the fun.
Love your reaction wh3n you open your mysterybags! Got me excited asweel! 😀🙃😀🙃

Very good value for the money. Yarns are beautiful. Have a good evening, Crystal
Wow, the thread was great! I use the thread on my looms to make coasters& placemats & hot pads!
wow the thread yarn is such beautiful colors. They would make some beautiful doilies! all the yarn looks wonderful.
OH YES a cardigan out of all 3 colors would be stunning!
Yay! Glad you're excited, at lady within the first few minutes as I'm writing this
Okay, so i think, generally, you were happy. I would have been outta my mind happy! I can read patterns like lighter yarns and thread!
