    I met HC Verma
    For IAPT exam in Kanpur.......
    I was really inspired by him.......a great teacher , philosopher , author.........
    Just great personality
    Edit: Thanks for 15 likes....I had never got more than 2 likes on RUclips 🙄
    Well I want to tell you one more thing about him
    .
    .
    .
    He has no pride........he is one of the simplest man I have ever seen.
    Here is a conversation between hc Verma sir and his favourite student
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    Student : I would never be able to become as great as you. You are my inspiration.
    H c Verma sir : I hope that you never become like me........I want you to become greater than me...
    One like for HC Verma sir .....

    Maza aa gaya ! I am not a student of pure physics / science, but a student of Vedanta. As per Vedanta, the Mind is described as a flow of thoughts. I could relate the wave explained in the talk as that, and could visualise the waves flowing where the 'particle' is in a 'mixed state'. The 'pure state'.....I could relate it with meditation where the 'particle' is mapped and measured, through simple observation of thoughts as an observer and not being involved, but in a detached manner. The growing detachment slows the waves, and after a point in time with the rise in detachment, the 'particle' is able to be at rest. The 'particle' as such is nothing but 'ego' which in it's 'pure state' is indescribable.

    • @5a7ya
      @5a7ya 5 лет назад +1

      That is the wave like nature of matter. You are thinking of particle as something like a small matar (pea), thats why you think it should have a specific boundary but small particles don't have that, at very small scales and microscopic masses, wave like nature becomes strong and thus at the same time a particle can be at any position of that wave. There is where probability comes into play.

      dont get confused
      if you cant understand it just accept it and move on
      almost everyone who learns of this concept seems to get confused because they assume normal physics rules work in quantum world which is not true
      just like time dilation
      this phenomenon is unexplainable
      atleast in this generation

    Q. Sir, why did our measurement of the position disturbed the mixed state of the particle? I still can't satisfy my curiosity that a particle can have two positions at the same time. Is there any way to satisfy my curiosity or to just accept the fact that it is intrinsic and we don't know the answer to "Why"?

  • @CupOfSweetTea
    @CupOfSweetTea 4 года назад

    QM is always being dramatized for popular science. Yes particles can be in different positions at the same time, but it's s QM definition of position, not a classical one. This dramatization extends to the uncertainty principle of positron and momentum. This principle refers only to the QM definitions of position and momentum, not the classical ones. You cannot imagine this as a classical problem, position is just not position that we are familiar with.
