I think neither Jinkx nor Trinity gave their best in the lipsync. But the reason why Jinkx won was because Trinity partially lost her wig during the lipsync. They didn’t make a big deal of it in the edit, but you could see it.
Raja posted on her Instagram that she reached out to the estate in order to get permission to play the copyrighted character. I don't think it's ever been a strict rule that you can't do a copyrighted character, you just need to get the permission which is probably harder for lesser known queens to do. I can also imagine WOW wouldn't necessarily spring for it either unless it was the winners either way.

Anyway, I think Dave is an actual veteran, and he told his story on the Drag Tea Served YT channel a few months or so ago. I love how she brought Dave up, her snatch game was stellar!

I looked up Dave after watching the snatch game and saw an interview he did a while back. If he's an actor, he's a really good one. He said that he didn't just recommend Judy some pills like he said on the show, he *gave* her a bunch of pills b/c he didn't know how much of a problem she had. It's crazy and you can see how much he regrets it. Maybe he was prompted to sleep during the comedy challenge, but I don't think the Judy Garland thing was faked 😭💀
I was going to mention that interview too, I saw it a few weeks ago. He definitely was a Marine, and yes he was in the audience for the S6 standup challenge the following year, but I don’t remember whether he said if World of Wonder paid him or not (I’m guessing they might have had him sign some sort of NDA so he couldn’t talk about that, but he and all those other veterans better have got paid!) He seems like a lovely guy, who genuinely does struggle with the Judy Garland thing. I read another interview with him somewhere after Snatch Game came out, he was amazed that Jinkx still remembered him and apparently he tried to meet up with her at DragCon but she was in the wrong city 😕 but he seems like a nice genuine guy.
I hope WoW do pay their extras an appearance fee, they’re working on the show like anyone else…

@@TopRPDRvideos are you sure it’s Dave in S06? To me, they look completely different. The S06 guy looks Latino to me, which Dave clearly isn’t. 🤷🏻♀️
Dave did an interview talking about his experience on the show very recently… after listening to the way he speaks in the segment, you can tell he comes from a latino upbringing.
By the way, Dave can be both a veteran and an actor. Back on Season 3 when they did the makeover challenge on the athletes/jocks, they were all involved in acting to some degree, I even managed to find their IMDB profile and posted them in a forum I used to participate at.
This is true -- WOW usually works through a casting agency to find people for makeovers, extra pit crew, dancers, live audience.
Right? I mean, Elvis was a veteran and very famous singer. Also Adam Driver is an insanely talented actor, titanically attractive, and a veteran. My close friend designs security systems, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t serve in Afghanistan. Having a job doesn’t negate your service. That’s such a weird thing to say.
I think Trinity's Satan was possibly based on how Satan was portrayed in South Park.

I have over 200 subscriptions on YT but your channel is the only one I have set to notify me, aka ringing the bell, and yet I'm looking at several videos I haven't seen because I just wondered did you stop putting out videos only to learn that YT never notified me any time you had put out more videos! I hope I'm an outlier and that this isn't happening on the regular to you. Your unique POV, sense of humor, blunt analysis and hard work is wonderfully admirable and most definitely entertaining.
It happens on a regular basis. I'll be discussing it pretty soon and I would be really grateful if you could add your experience in the comments when that video comes out. People don't think shadowbans are a real thing, but unfortunately, they very much are and what happened to you is part of it

Jaida's Lady Chabliss was edited out probably cause it wasn't good. On her first question she was already saying "I don't know".
Also, I don't think it's fair to say Monet is being favored just because you soley disagree with the judges opinion. Most people ranked Monet's look in their top 3 so its completely plausible that Ru would like Monet's the most.
RuPaul never singles out a queen with compliments unless it's part of the narrative. Camera time is also in her favor three episodes in a row at the moment. But you're welcome to disagree
Actually I agree with both you. I think Monet’s dress was the best of the round. And I agree that she is being favored.

I think Trinity may have lost her wig or almost during the lip sync. They did not fully show it happen because All Winners but that's the only way I'd see her losing to Jinkx in this lip sync.

Jaida’s Prince was so awkward, unprepared, unfunny, and the camera angle was so damn weird. Her camera was so low and coming from an off-angle than the other queens. It makes me think the producers wanted to make her unfunny snatch funny.
I lived for the reference to Dave.
Trinity as really changed from Trinity Taylor to The Tuck. Jaida was awesome. I really liked Jinkx performances because I'm a Natasha Lyonne fan and Jinkx was spot on. Raja was incredible. The editing was not in her favor sadly even though Raja and Jinkx could've both won. Trinity has won two challenges now
I would like to offer my two cents worth....and I may be completely off base.
Clearly you are aware that there is a vast amount of editing that occurs between when the show is filmed and when we see the finished product. But I'm not sure you're always accounting for it or, if you are, you're not mentioning it in your accounting of the events on the air. Most specifically, you make a comparison of how many questions everyone got on Snatch Game. While I have never been there, I have always suspected that all the contestants are asked every question and then this is edited down to show us who they want us to see doing well and, by omission, who we are to assume did not as well. I think the same is true of the lip syncs. While we only see 45-60 seconds of lip sync, I imagine that they perform the entire song and then we see what the editors want us to see to support the result they report.
It very much true for lipsyncs as well and those have been edited pretty unfairly in the past, specifically camera time and camera angles are used to convey a narrative, highlighting mistake or hiding them and showcasing more or less depending on which outcome they want to reinforce

How come when they changed for the lip sync they came out in their snatch game looks?? Shea, Jinkx and Jada all very clearly had their snatch game makeup on… that confused me? Did they do the lip sync before the runway or something?
Queens have limited amount of bags that they can bring to the show, which means limited amount of dresses. If they reuse a snatch game look for the possible lipsync, they can save unseen looks for future challenges. You can tell they just changed into their former looks because if you look at the makeup, it's the same they had on the runway.

Monet tends to look like a linebacker in a dress.
Ppl are acting like this was the best snatch game ever, but let's be real... It only had the best performance ever, by Jinkx. Raja did great characterization but wasn't funny; Trinity was very funny but played herself -- even in the 2nd round tbh. I was expecting The Vivienne to excel at this, but it's clear that she felt intimidated. Imo, Monét's Mike Tyson saved her, Jaida's runway also saved her, and, if it was a regular season, the other two could have gone straight to the bottom.
The queens over the last few years have kinda forgotten that snatch game is as much about being funny as it embodying the character you've chosen. Jinkx as you say was the best. Raja's two characters were way too obscure for the audience WoW pushes this show towards. I don't know who the other character yvie did but her boogeyman wasn't funny. Jaida belonged in the bottom of the heap. Her prince was terrible. Viv did herself no favours by doing mostly uk characters. People would know them but they wouldn't be as well known. At least with jinkx playing judy garland if some teen doesn't know them,, they'll look it up like with little edie. I wonder if anyone in the media will ask liza what she thought of jinkx's performance
To paraphrase raja circa season 3 "jaida shouldn't have been on all stars 7,she should have been on season 9 or 10" Jaida needs time to perfect her art. A few extra years between seasons wouldn't have done any harm but we can't rewind the clock.. Also the comment about production sleeping on jaida...jaida is sleeping on jaida. if she's not adding anything that the producers can use then you can't pull something out of a hat to make a queen look good who didn't shine. Same goes for raja...the fashion looks good but raja needs to up the energy at this point in time.
I honestly don't think Jaida was that good, I think her performance didn't make a lot of sense and that's why Ru was laughing, but I didn't find her Prince funny, just kinda stupid
Monet's look was an exact replica of the six-pack breastplate dress by Schiaparelli from 2021. It's been shown mainstream (and comes in several colors and textiles) on Kim K and Lady Gaga. Violet is hosting Fashion Photo Review in place of Raja this season and hated the dress because she considers dupes lazy. BOOT!
