- This episode was recorded not too long after Gene Siskel's passing. A split vote between Elvis Mitchell and Roger Ebert. While Ebert liked De Niro's performance, Mitchell didn't really see the point of it all. The guest compared this to Tarantino's abomination, Jackie Brown, and stated that Analyze This wasn't good. No wonder the moron didn't take the place of Siskel!
I absolutely loved this movie the humor had me rolling on the floor! The chemistry between DeNero and Crystal was great!
I agree with what Roger said here about De Niro getting the right balance between being a funnier take on his previous roles, but serious enough. It kept the movie real and respectful.
Analyze this was hilarious! I went to see it twice because everyone was laughing so hard the first time, I missed some lines.
You tell him Ebert
"Here's what I think, because this is why I'm here."
Elvis Mitchell is a bit insecure...
Roger was correct sir also this was about time deniro change more to comedy making fun parody of his past roles I like it
robert de niro is very funny he can do anything
After Gene passed away, at least a dozen losers came and went. That showed how hard it is to be a knowledgeable film critic.
On Ebert's side
Agreed
FWIW, it did feel to me that de niro was playing a parody of himself.
This movie was an abomination.
No that was the sequel
I hate this black guy. Wtf he is talking about? This movie was really brilliant and fun. A great comedy movie. One of the best movies of Bill Crystal
Did Elvis Mitchell say that Billy Crystal went from being in a Woody Allen movie to being Woody Allen in Analyze This in 1999?
Which is wrong anyway, Crystal plays a straight man not a whiny nerd... anyway, seems like all these post-Siskel critics wanted to make the worst possible impression, poor Ebert, he must have hated his situation once the guy said he didnt like it...
The black guy didn't understand the movie..
“Here is what I think that’s why I’m here” seriously this guys lame.
Elvis is good with film history, not newer ones.
Lol Jackie Brown is a masterpiece. I like analyze this too though
No matter what they say, I hate critics . Only saw this bc my autoplay. Hacks
It's worth watching just for this bit: ruclips.net/video/3SSrZKt7LwA/видео.html
I walked out
Both of these guys made good points. But this movie is too funny not to like
I saw this and I take the side of elvis
Awful movie on every level. Cheap direction, terrible acting, rubbish plot, devoid of humour. So, so dreadful, Elvis is dead right.
