My mother just got a 2017 base model. On her most often taken trip of 133 round trip miles, according to the trip computer she got 40 mpg. And that's at an average altitude of roughly 7,500 feet.
That didn't happen! If it says it did ya better get it in for service. That car's computer is out of whack. The BEST mileage you can get out of a 2.4 is 30-32MAX and that's with speeds under 55 and no stopping/no grade. In other words, you will never see even that mpg. The average is going to be 22-26 with this car.
Test drove it yesterday with the turbo. Nice car. I can't get over how average the fuel economy is. You didn't show the other storage compartment under in the trunk. It's surprisingly large
I've had this vehicle for 9 months my average mpg is 24 mpg. I also had to take it off road. I went up a grassy hill that a 4wd pickup could not make it up. I will say this if your trying to get on the interstate and you get on the gas it's not terrible you will get to 70 fairly quickly.
I have this Car....Could NOT be Happier..Great Ride..Roomy...For the Money You'll Have Hard Time Beating it..for the Extra Options You get...Very Satisfied with the Base 2.4L as Well...Moves Quite Well on the Highway..Accelerates Nicely...Rated Very High in Reliability...
i just bought today the Hyundai santa fe sport limit 2018 is so much better the one you showing here is ok but the limit is so much better i paid 19,800 with 100,000 miles
That Santa Fe sport had some extra features added like the roof rails and mirror turn signals, base sport trim does NOT come with those things, its truly basic lol

The v6 murano with much more hp gets about the same mpg. Murano is king of the 5 passenger SUvs. Murano goes 0-60 faster than this"sport" and it is a mid-sized SUV. Murano for my money.

That seems impossible. The best I ever got in mine was 31 mpg, and that was doing 60 on a flat highway with cruise control.

You paid too much buddie ... I got mine 2018 Santa fe sport límited as well with 112,000 miles for 11,000
I wouldn't want a Hyundai Santa Fe with paddle shifters...leave those to actual sports cars.
