Woo hoo, definitely fun to watch the draw and listen to the favourite birds. Thanks so much Thomas and Treeswift, I'll be in touch!!! While I'll stick to the Drongo, the email about Striated Pardalotes reminded me of an experience that I doubt I'll ever have again. On one cold foggy morning in Canberra I went to the Mulligans Flat Nature Reserve and was observing a small flock of Straited Pardalotes in the gum trees when the wind died and the fog came down, I couldn't see the tree canopy, the fog was that thick. And then I heard it - I could hear the clicking of the pardalotes' bills as they went for all the lerps. It was surprising, there were very few contact calls, just the click of the bills. Lasted for a while and, like I said, I don't expect to hear that again. So, a soft spot for them, but Drongos are still the favourite.
