this was my first introduction into film! a roll really lasts sooo long. it’s def a fun casual camera and i’ve been able to capture really cute family pictures. it really works great for what it was made for.
Totally agree!!
Can't wait to pick this up, thanks for sharing!
I'm old enough to remember film photography but it's been about 2-3 decades since I last used it. I'm nervous about shooting on film again but this definitely makes it a lot less scary!
Based
ive been looking for a cheap, high-enough quality camera to carry around so i don't need to pull my phone out to take pictures, and came across this camera. after watching all of your videos im gonna try to nab one on prime day, lol hopefully theres a sale going on. i love your enthusiasm over this camera, and that youve included examples of photos in all your vids on it. just wanted to say thank you for the incredibly helpful vids and keep doing what youre doing! :)
Thank you so much!! That really means a lot to me 🥰🥰🥰
Definitly on my "potantial gift for a loved one" list. Thanks a lot. Super video too.
It’s an awesome gift! Do it! :)
Nice shots! I've been having fun with the updated version (H35N) too - Fun little cameras
oh nice!
Totally agree, so fun to shoot with!
Thanks for stopping by!
Thank you for the good information on this camera. I didn’t even know about it. After watching your video it reminds me of how much film industry has been changed over the few decades. I miss having printed photos that I could just look at whenever I want. This camera looks like would be fun to have & money saving camera! You shot some beatiful photos with it. 😊
Thank you!!
I have thought of stepping into film photography for quite a while now, and this camera has been up on my list of cameras. The only thing that keeps me away from it is what comes after I take the pictures, which is developing/scanning the the film . If you talk more about how do you develop or scan the films in any of your videos it would be a great help. Great video though.
I visit my local camera store to have it developed! Though I’m slowly learning how to develop it at home and may start doing that instead :)
If you have a phone with a good camera there are cheap (~25€) options to develop film at home using development kits. I'm not yet into film photography but the prices for development are actually what is slowing me from starting this hobby
Quick question friends - can you get each half developed full size (6x4)?
I do it on my own, scan the film and I have a program that is very useful! It’s totally worth it . Don’t let that discourage you !
I love my Kodak Ektar H35! It’s such a fun point and shoot!
Glad you love yours!! I even got a second one for my wife 😂
This camera honestly isn’t all that bad, I had a canon point and shoot and did a side by side comparison. And the H35 actually had slightly better resolution somehow.
In my tests between disposables vs the h35 the h35 had sharper images every time! Who knew!
They just announced the 2.0 version of the H35!! Even though I recently just got this standard version 😩 It's been so good as a secondary/tertiary camera I bring along with my Pentax and sx-70 polaroid
Oh seriously! Wow that timing is so insane 😭
I‘m confused on the camera. Do you shoot till the counter says 36 or 72?
Great video though :)
72! :)
I put a roll of Portra 160 through this camera, got fantastic photos with it.
Great video! I'm about to buy this camera. Greetings from Russia, I'm your new subscriber :)
Wow your pictures turned out really nice!! I love them so much. How do you know what film rolls to use?
I recently made a video called “essential tips” and it answers a bunch of FAQs! :) including which film I recommend🥰
@@Anjroo Okay thank you so much 😊
Love this camera. Wish they would put out a higher quality half frame camera with a better lens
Yeah the quality certainly suffers a bit.
My next video will compare an H35 to cheap disposables! I’m really curious to see the results
What do you usually use as film in the Kodak? I mean, which ISO?
I’ve found the sweet spot is between 100-400 iso!
I hope this camera doesn’t disappoint me; I'm a newbie to photography and this will be my first camera.
It’s a goodie! The more you dive into film and photography you’ll probably like a fully manual camera at some point :) it’s a good starter tho for sure!
@@Anjroo thanks man ! Will update you soon.
I have this camera, but i dont know what film to get for indoor low light places? like a speakeasy, do you have any recommendations?
Hm, if you’re indoors I recommend using the flash for every picture! Then it won’t really matter which iso you use :) unless you’re super worried you could get 800iso, but the flash works great for those exact purposes and 800 film is too pricey!
thanks for your sharing!🤛
Hello, please tell me, I inserted the film, everything was according to the instructions, I started snapping the first frames, but I noticed that the rotation knob does not turn when rewinding the film. The counter works, everything is as it should be, but this handle confuses
I’ve got a video guide explaining how to use the camera!
ruclips.net/video/MvWKLkV74o8/видео.html
hello! How do you transfer images from the camera to your cell phone or computer? to post on social media!
Walmart gives you a disc (yuck!)
But film labs will most likely email you the scanned jpegs :) you can visit a local camera store/local photo lab! Or you can mail film to labs but those typically cost more! Hope that helps!
Great video, really enjoyed it.
Love this video and definitely going to buy one! Where do you get the film developed?
Currently I develop my own film at home! But prior I would go to my local camera store :) if there aren’t any available you could go to Walmart/pharmacies but the results will be inconsistent as they just send it to 3rd parties t develop!
Great video! I've been looking for this one for a while, but where I'm from it's the equivalente to 80$ 😅
Yikes! Yeah that certainly changes things haha 😂
Que vídeo magnífico tirou as dúvidas das quias não vi em outros vídeos muito obrigado ❤
I DIG IT! SUBBED!!🤘🏾🤘🏾
Thank you! Lots more videos coming 🥰🥰
Hi Anjroo, do you print the images too? how look they printed?
what film were you using for the picture of the dog?
great video :)
Have the featured shots undergone any editing or is that how they look straight from the camera?
Great review ! Thank youuu
What wide lens you use? The quality is beautiful.
DOes this mean oldschool Ektar Dia/slide film is back too?
1/100 slow! I am shooting at 1/8 of a second with a 28mm lens and I am getting good shots. If you hold the camera properly and push the shutter button really slow it helps. It's like firing a rifle if any of you have done that.
Which film did you use ?
HELP! I just finished my first roll shooting with this camera and the film came out completely blanc, WHY?
My guess is it’s an issue with your film!
Did you get it developed?
hi iam new with film , and got this thing for christmas , any idea what easy to use n beatiful cheap film that is nice to use for this? thinking use it for mostly outdoor shot and maybe flash shot , dont have idea for film type
I’d recommend anything cheap since you’re starting out! Usually something like fujifilm 200 or 400, or Kodak Gold, Kodak color plus! Those are pretty budget friendly. However if you’re wanting something with cleaner grain and vibrant colors you could try Ektar100, but it is pricier!! Personally I use cheap film since it’s a cheap camera! Hope this helps❤️
@@Anjroo nice , i think i can start with that too
I have this camera, I want to take it with me to a concert, what film do you recommend to put it in ? ISO 200/400/800 ?
tbh this camera really suffers in low light. I'd recommend using the flash every single time, close range, and I think you'll be okay! :)
I like to use 400 speed personally!
Where do you send the film to get developed? I'm only familiar with disposable cameras so i usually take them to Walgreens. Would Walgreens still be able to develop/ print film from this camera or would the half frame be an issue?
Should be just fine!
It’s the same process for either! Disposables have a roll of film inside, so it’s the same :)
what are cool films to buy for this camera? :D
Great review! Just going to buy the updated version! What film did you use in the sample shots?? They look amazing. Just subscribed too :)
Thanks for sticking around!
All were shot on ektar 100!
Great video man! But is half frame features make the images portrait by default?
Yes! I should have mentioned that in the video. It’s flipped! But there are helpful shaded guides within the viewfinder that are a good reminder
What kinds of backpack are you using while you walk around the lake?
Brevite jumper! Not terribly sturdy but a great day pack :)
Thank you for the quick response! I’m going to look into it
can u compare it to m35 kodak?
Cool ❤
How do you scan in your photos from print?
My local camera store scans them for me and emails the images back!
@@Anjroo That's super convenient! Looking to get this camera and start getting shots on film 😁
favorite film to use with it?
Since the lens quality isn’t the sharpest i usually gravitate toward whatever is cheapest! So budget film stocks like Fuji 200 or 400, or Kodak gold 200!
